It even comes in a little velvet pouch, which makes me feel very fancy – like I should be sipping whisky while stroking my beard and contemplating a ship launch. Now, the bristles do shed a bit at first, but frankly, so do I on a Monday. It’s part of the charm. In short: if your beard is a wild stallion and your mullet is its glorious tail, this brush-comb combo is the stable master you never knew you needed. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. So after embracing the face furniture for November, my husband decided he enjoyed it and wanted to carry on, but had no clue what he was doing in terms of beard, maintenance and care. So I wanted to get him a little kit to start off for Christmas. One of the main things I actually noticed was that without combing/brushing it every day, it would quickly look quite unruly, so I wanted to get him a comb set that he could use in the mornings while getting ready for work and this one had great reviews. It’s a nice little kit and the comb is very gentle on his beard hair. It’s not that long so he’s not combing out lots of knots but it’s well-made and good quality , so would work perfectly for longer beards. He hasn’t really needed to use the scissors again because his beard isn’t long enough, but when it comes to tidying up his moustache, they’re nice and sharp, so do a nice tidy job of tidying up any long, stray hairs and the soft bristle brush is ideal for getting it all too lay beautifully flat and straight after he puts the balm on. Yes, I’m sure if you were a connoisseur or somebody who had a long bushy beard that required more maintenance, there are probably more expensive kits out there that will do a better job, but this was perfect as a gift to give him towards starting to look after his new face furniture, and he was very pleased with that

I grabbed this Viking Revolution grooming kit to help keep my beard in check, and for the price it’s actually pretty decent. The brush is the bit I’ve used the most — it’s small but firm enough to get right down to the skin and stop that annoying itch you get when a beard is still growing in. For short beards, it works really well. The scissors were unfortunately not the best quality, mine turned up with a small rust patch on them, which isn’t exactly what you want to see when you’re about to put something near your face. I managed to remove this with some metal polish. They still cut fine, but it didn’t give the best first impression. I haven’t used the comb yet because my beard just isn’t long enough to need it, but it feels okay quality‑wise. Everything fits nicely into the little travel pouch, which is handy if you want something you can chuck in your bag without losing bits. If you’re just starting out or keeping your beard short, this is a solid, budget‑friendly kit that does the basics well. If you’ve got a longer beard, you’ll probably want something a bit more substantial, especially when it comes to the brush but overall would recommend this.

A beautifully crafter grooming kit that comes with everything needed for an established beard, or to help someone maintain it when starting to grow it out. The boar hair brush feels rigid but glides through hair easily. The wooden construction of the base for the boar brush and the comb feel smooth, solid and chunky meaning they don't feel like they will break at a moments notice. The scissors provided are sharp and small enough to make fine trimming easy to accomplish. The kit as a whole is incredible value and the included bag makes storing and traveling with the kit easy.

The quality of the brush is pretty bad. Whenever I run my finger over the bristles, a load of them come out.

Beard brush might be good but the scissor is very very poor quality. I guess you can go for it and be patient but if you re a person who wants easy and trustworthy grooming friends, I would wander around to find my favorite grooming tools before ending up here.

This set worked great on my thick beard. The brush does a good job distributing oils and keeping everything looking clean and controlled, while the comb moves through without snagging or pulling. The boar bristle brush feels well-made and not too stiff, and the wooden comb is smooth and comfortable to use. Both feel like quality pieces, not cheap throw-ins. The travel pouch is a nice bonus too—it keeps everything together and makes it easy to take with you. Overall, pretty good quality and does exactly what you need for daily beard grooming. Definitely recommend.
