Q: How do you attach? I see the images, but I must be dense because they don't make sense... Please help

You put the small part over the upright handle and lay it across the bag from back to front. You place the item you wand to attach on top of bag and the small section. You pull the larger section which is now hanging down in the front of your back, up and back to once again hook over your handle. Then you adjust the tightness. It works well most of the time. As long as the extra bag fits nicely on top of the bag you are pulling. It does NOT work well with small animal carriers... I tried.
