Banishment from his lifeโs calling canโt keep a comically overconfident detective down in the latest episode by New York Times bestseller Stephan Pastis. This book was never meant to exist. No one needs to know the details. Just know this: thereโs a Merry, a Larry, a missing tooth, and a teachersโ strike that is crippling Timmy Failureโs academic future. Worst of all, Timmy is banned from detective work. Itโs a conspiracy of buffoons. He recorded everything in his private notebook, but then the manuscript was stolen. If this book gets out, he will be grounded for life. Or maybe longer. And will Timmyโs mom really marry Doorman Dave? Review: Great - Great, son love it. Review: The absolute best author EVER!!!! - My 11yo has read all the Timmy Failure books and we just ordered #7, and my son said โYay! Itโs 300pgs!!โ He said he didnโt want # 6 to end! And it ended with some heart & realism..after pages of comedy which equates to a brilliant author who GETS IT! Stephan Pastis is my sonโs favorite author of all time. He got my son into reading at 7 years old. Witty, charming coo coo nut bar silly, intelligent writing I am PROUD my son loves. Pastis is a gem and thank god heโs alive and writing for children - and adults. Iconic & lovely & interesting, age appropriate to truly connect with my sons own wit & charm. Thank you Stephen for changing my boyโs tough childhood to help him escape & delve into a fun universe that makes him feel good. It tickles me to hear my son laughing out loud in his bed when reading his literature !!

these are some funny books, for kids, and adults with a sense of humor
Im not a kid, and I still loved these books. I got them for my grandson(9 yrs old) so he could do something other than play games on his Kindle. He liked them so much he has been reading them out loud to me. When I bought them I had them delivered to my Kindle by mistake, and they looked interesting so I gave it a little read. I enjoyed them so much I read them all. Stephan Pastis writes an easy to read story, with some twists and turns, but not so much my grandson cant follow it. Timmy does silly stuff and draws enough wrong conclusions we both were yelling--TIMMY--you've got it all wrong! I cant say enough good things about these books. I recommend them for adults and for kids.

So hilarious!! My 8 year old loves it!!!!!!!
I bought this to read to my 8 year old son. Oh my it is so funny! We both laugh out loud at the funny parts all the time. I don't ever remember reading a book so funny. He loves it. It is nice to find an enjoyable book to read to him at night. Makes reading every night more fun. He has a hard time with reading and school so this makes it more enjoyable. I am going to look for more by this author. This was a great find!

Pastis is (once again) perfect in his depiction of this struggling-to-cope little boy and his Polar Bear "Total" living in his detective world of denial as his mechanism for dealing with the rigors of surviving in a single parent home. The undercurrent of all five of the books in this series (so far) is the immense amount of love and understanding Timmy's mom must have for him just to survive Timmy being Timmy while she seeks to sort out the path her life will take with Timmy by her side. All of these books are an easy read and--although independent of each other--tell the tale of a little boy and his mom just trying to make a go of it. Buy and read all five of the books to see the progression of Timmy's journey. Three cheers for Timmy, Total, Rollo Tookus, Corrina Corrina (the Weevil Bun), Molly Moskins, and especially (YOU) Doorman Dave for this latest wonderful installment in the world of Timmy Failure.(Is it my imagination or does the teacher (Mr. Jenkins) remind me a lot of Stephan Pastis?

A great series....
This is a great series and if your child likes Diary of a Wimpy Kid, I think they will like the Timmy Failure books. My 6 and 8 year olds love them and they are even rated in the Advanced Reading school system so my children can read them and test them. They get to enjoy them while getting school work done at the same time!

Funny
It was really funny and nonsensical. I have watched a movie about the same character but just a different case. I recommend this book to people who like funny nonsensical books like FrannyKStein.
