Does the color of the bones come off on light carpet or white dog fur? I have a springer spaniel with white feet and don't want her legs to get dirty.

Good question... The color of the treat isn't 'basted' color, like some bones are with a colored liquid flavor. I rinsed a new bone under water and no color came off on a white paper towel when I dried it. I gave the bone to my dog and checked pieces of the bone when he was chewing it. Of course, there was his saliva on them, but I could not detect any color that came off . My dog has a light muzzle and feet and he doesn't get discolored from heating the bone. I hope that helps answer your question.

Can these be broken up for smaller treats?

I’ve been able to break them in half, but it’s pretty tough. They makes them in smaller sizes
