Awesome tent for the price. I changed my rating.
Update: I’ve been using this tent for over 2 years and it’s holding up great. I’ve also learned to resolve my earlier issue, with the roof. It’s not ideal but training my plants to grow shorter worked out better than expected. My last yield was over 4 lbs. I really can’t complain about the roof anymore. I’m changing my rating to 5 stars since the roof design wasn’t the hindrance I anticipated. The low stress training method resolved that. It also increased my yields more than I thought possible. I wish I’d tried low stress training with my earlier grows. I was always nervous about breaking a branch. This tent forced me to try a new technique and it worked out amazingly. Valuable lesson learn. Great investment, I’m glad I bought it 3 years ago. The price has increased dramatically. It’s still worth the value though. I’ll be buying another as soon as I can afford the new setup. A purchase I thought I’d regret turned out to be one of my best investments. If it didn’t have the sloped roof I’d give it 5 stars. I’ve been using it about a year and the quality is fine. The zipper does stick once in a while but I’ve had that problem on past tents and it’s an easy fix usually. My biggest complaint is the sloped roof. It restricts your light height to only 5 feet if that. That extra foot makes a huge difference sometimes. It would be great if the roof were square. I’m also using a 3x3 the same height with a conventional roof. It allows for use of the entire ceiling of the tent to hang my light. Overall all, if you’re not planning on growing tall plants it’s a good buy. Set up was easy and the zipper only came off once. Seems to hold a decent amount of weight and fits great in by basement which has 7 foot ceilings. I wish they’d redesign the roof to allow for full access of the tent height. I’d love to have another one with a standard roof. This was the only 4x8 that I could find with a 6 foot ceiling.

So Happy!
I'm getting ready for veggie planting season, but some plants are year-rounders. I typically keep them in random spots around the house, but when one of my big mothers (not pic'd) started to flower unexpectedly and unplanned, I had to figure out the lights and living situation fast. I have propped lights, but they've gotten unruly. I needed to hang them, but I'm not putting holes in my ceilings. I've been eying grow tents for a while and you can't beat the price and quality of these Vivosun tents. I bit the bullet and ordered Tuesday, and it with other stuff I got for it came Thursday, super quick. My husband brought the tent upstairs himself in a single, long, flat box, which surprised me - it was smaller than I expected. The two of us assembled it today in about an hour. One person can almost certainly put together themselves, but I imagine it would probably take about twice as long. It's just way easier with two people. All the pieces were labeled clearly, and they were all included as expected, which is half the battle. The quality is the other half, and I was NOT disappointed at all. The fabric is heavy-duty, but it's not heavy, in a good way. Some reviews had issues with zippers, and while there's almost always going to be a ramdom defect somewhere, our zippers had ZERO issues. There were one or two tough spots where you had to go over them a couple times to iron them out, but we didn't have any splits or bad teeth. They're actually pretty stellar. The rods are a thicker mL hollowed metal, not the cheap flimsy tin. All the pins popped into place with ease, even when we realized we'd positioned a couple corners wrong and had to redo them. No problems. The dimensions are exact with no awkward slacking. The instructions are a single piece of paper with a diagram, which leaves something to be desired, but honestly it makes sense and it works. Keep in mind, though, that you will have to figure out the most practical way to "wrap" the framing with the fabric. We put the tent in my small office, so we had to make do with a half and half approach, putting the left half into the unzipped fabric and then attaching the right half. There's more than one way to skin a cat, though, so look at how they suggest you put it together, but know that there are probably 4 other ways to assemble based on your space. So the first hour was the tent assembly and the rest was the fan, lights, wiring, plant placement and customizing, which took about 2 hours. Now I have properly hung lights and ventilation, and my girls and I truly could not be happier. My only complaint is now I don't get to see my girls whenever I walk past and smile, but I know they're happy, healthy, and it's for their own good. In a week when I do my veggie seeds, I know they're going to do awesome in this new space too!

Dont hesitate buy one you will not regret. 2-in-1 Grow Tent, 108"x48"x80"
This review is for the 2-in-1 Grow Tent, 108"x48"x80". When the tent came in there was no damage at all to the box and the Amazon employee brought the package inside the front porch. Opened and counted all the pieces and everything was there. Maybe they are checking everything a lot better now to make sure everything is there. 5 stars for shipping and handling. Putting the frame together was easy no problems at all. Nice and sturdy even without the tent on, 5 stars for putting the frame together. Putting the tent was not the easiest thing to do even with two people putting the tent on. Make sure you have a enough room to put the tent on. I didn't and that is on me. Better directions and a video for this size of tent would of nice and much appreciated. 4 stars for putting the tent on. I did not need the second chamber as I have already have a seedling chamber. I will place a humidifier and a dehumidifier and a stand up carbon filter on the shelf. I attached 4 fans underneath the shelf to blow over the top and the bottom of the fabric pots for root pruning and to strengthen the stalks and branches. A co2 bucket will be on the bottom and the fans above it will blow the co2 right over the ladies. I like how the lights are attached to the bars and the can be moved left and right. I placed mine on rings so I can move them forward and backward as well to max the amount of light they can receive. I am using two 2000 watt leds, 3 gal fabric pots, happy frog potting soil, and advance nutrients for the veg and bloom. As you can see in the images that what eight days in the tent will do. I am going to enjoy taking care of and watching the ladies come to life in the weeks to come. Advance nutrients has a nutrient calculator that will advise you of the nutrients you will need and the amount. Start with half and work your way up to the full dosage. Better safe then sorry. Having nutrient burn is not a good thing. Any questions they have support you can call and ask questions. The temps are steady at 70 degrees and humidity between 60 and 70%. Do not over water. First knuckle deep in the soil if it is dry watering is needed. Over watering is bad so is under watering but it is easier to come back from then over watering as that can cause mold. You can get at least 28 3 gal pots in the tent. I opted for 20 as I like to be able to move them easily and not struggle with them. The sea of green method is the growing method I have chosen to use as it will produce a faster harvest and higher yield overall. I will update this review with more images as the grow progresses. I hope this review has helped you make the choice of wanting to start a garden and watch the garden grow and thrive. It can be a rewarding journey as you take care of the garden and watch and them grow and resolving anything that might grow wrong. No matter how long you been growing there is something you can learn along the way.

Great cover and growth results, but hanging bars needs securing hardware & 8" door is a trip point.
The thickness and durability of this tent exceeded my expectations. Heavy canvas covering is great and the mylar lining is great. Setup was a little challenging, but not that bad. The overall structure seem very good, but there are two thing I wished were different. The worst thing by far (and drove my rating down a star and maybe should have been two stars down) was the hanging bars at the top of the tent. These bars have half hooks that solely rely on gravity to hold them in place. Any bump to the tent will send these bars and most likely the $300 lights they hold crashing to the bottom. Since no hardware was sent to secure these, I used hose clamps to secure them in place. The other thing I fine a little frustrating is the 8 inch step height of the door. I realize this may be to make the tent more stable, but is a constant trip point for me and would be much better if it could be lowered. Overall, this tent has exceeded my expectations and I am very pleased with it and defiantly would purchase it again. I have had this tent for six months now and have been amazed at the growth results I have gotten from it! I would recommend it.

This size is perfect for the low ceilings in my basement!
The tent material is thick and pretty good quality, it functions well in my basement which has low ceilings and can only fit a taller 4x4 in one spot of my basement. The flaps on the bottom of the tent help increase ventilation. This tent actually has less light leaks than my more expensive AC Infinity tent, for the size and price it was a super good deal. I just wish they would make it this size and height without the sloping "roof".

Definitely try to get some help for the setup!
The tent is big, and the quality on all the fabric, zippers, and metal support pieces seem good so far! I definitely would NOT have had a great time trying to put this together myself. Having a few extra hands to help will definitely save you a lot of headache! Building the support pieces together wasn't bad at all, you basically follow the instructions on the picture, and stick poles together with connector pieces. Pulling the fabric over the metal pole structure that you just built is a different story. The fabric is HEAVY! The instructions said to unzip all of the zippers, to help with the process, but even with multiple people this was a hassle. Moving the fabric into position, and finding which side went where, and which corner was which, with a heavy fabric like this, was difficult. I definitely wouldn't have been able to do this process by myself. After pulling the fabric over the structure though, and pulling the corners into place, zipping everything back up was a breeze. Most of the zippers worked fairly well, with just a few hiccups along the way, and I only have zipper that gives me struggles when I try to use it (luckily it's not one of the zippers on the main doors I use). The zippers seem heavy duty though, and I wouldn't see it breaking on me, it's just a little hard to zip/unzip compared to the others. The tent has a few big windows, and some smaller mesh windows, along with the multiple exhaust holes it offers. Both the mesh windows, and the bigger see-through plastic windows, are able to be covered if you wish with, included, reflective-coated panels, that velcro to the outside of the tent. The exhaust holes can either be used, or closed shut with the tightening strings built into them. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with everything this tent offers. I have a ton of space to move my plants around, and water in. There's also a ton of room for all kinds of plant growth. If you're looking for more room for your plants, or more room to care for them in, and have the space to fit one of these 5x10, or 10x10 vivosun tents, I'd highly, highly recommend getting one. So far, I've been happy with all the vivosun products I've bought, and this tent is no different. 10/10 definitely more ideal than a smaller tent/greenhouse

Amazing product!
When it comes to things like this I’m a little bit skeptical about buying from amazon..after most things on here are from 3rd party sellers or manufacturers. When my tent arrived, which arrived two days early, it was fairly easy to set up. Anyone who is legitimately thinking about getting into the growing community is definitely smart enough to follow the instructions but I definitely think that they were a little bit difficult to follow. You almost really have to be a visual person to be able to follow the directions. The hardest part about getting it all together is putting the actual tent on the frame. The frame was easy for a single person but for the Mylar definitely get a second set of hands. The tent is just to big to do on your own as I’d imagine with any tent. I’m very excited for the size. Even with 2 chambers, I didn’t think it was gonna be as big as it is. You could easily 4 really good sized plants(we all know what this is really for..tomatoes). The tent comes with a Velcro wall that makes up the second section. The smaller side is really good for your veg cycles and the main side is good for your flower cycles. It’s amazing that you can run both cycles off of one tent. For me this is a major plus because I live with roommates and I need all the space I can get for my plants. It also comes with 2 sets of ropes for hanging your lights. Those came in handy because it gives you the ability to use 2 supports instead of the one that most grow lights come with. Not only was it easy to set up(for the most part), but I also now have a more secure, stable hanging mechanism for my lights and an extra set for the light that I’m supposed to get tomorrow in the mail. Overall great product. Also, I saw some reviews that said it wasn’t lightproof..that’s a load. Other than the ventilation/electricity ducts(which will be filled in when you get it set up) there’s absolutely no light penetration. 5 stars from me. Definitely gonna be buying some more vivosun products in the future.

Fails on all major points of advertisement. Don't waste your money. Just buy two tents.
I read many reviews before purchasing this tent. I saw a lot of red flags but I had also seen some reviews saying that they had fixed their quality control issues. So I was looking forward to receiving my tent. Unfortunately, at least in my case, they haven't outgrown the bad reviews. I want to address my issues based on how the company describes the features of this tent. Things that are truthful: EXTRA-THICK CANVAS, STANDS STURDY: - "The top-quality 600D canvas is tear proof" This seems accurate. It's thick and the mylar is nice and reflective. - "The canvas is supported by strong metal poles" The poles feel a little flimsy at first, but once you assemble them they feel sturdy. Furthermore once you get the tent around the poles the tent feels even stronger. INNER TOOL ORGANIZER - "Convienient[sic] storage for your tools and grow accessories." The tool organizer is nice to have. SBS ZIPPERS - "Made with strong zippers that will not get stuck." So far so good on this aspect, zippers feel smooth. Now on to all the features that are false advertising: VENT HOLE - "Multiple vents for fan and filter output:" Okay I'm going to start small. It's true that it has "multiple vents" but these vent hole's are not configured in an ideal way, whatsoever. I would guess that it's due to wanting to reduce the number of vents on zippered sections. But for intake, outtake, and space maximization, these vent holes are not the least bit optimal. Please take that in consideration if you're thinking of buying this tent. "Easy Assembly" Debatable. Easier with a partner for sure. Now on to the main offenders: KEEPS ALL LIGHT IN: - "The VIVOSUN grow tent blocks all light from escaping" - "Lightproof" -"Made with an inner lining to prevent light leakage. " If you want a lightproof tent, do not buy this one. These descriptions are outright lies. There are pinhole light leaks at every section where two pieces of fabric meet. All stitching locations release light. The "double sock" vent holes release light. About the only spot that keeps light in, aside from the main canvas, is the zippers, which I found to be a surprise. When it comes to this particular selling point, the final product warrants a true 0/5. Buyer beware. MULTI-CHAMBER GROW TENT: - "This tent has separate areas that you can individually control parameters." This is the boldest lie of them all. This is the main feature of the tent and it completely fails in this regard. There is a mylar divider that you apply by velcro, but the execution is unsuccessful. Because of the placement of the poles you can't apply the velcro in an adequate way. The divider allows massive amounts of light and air at the corners and seams. I bought this tent with the intent to use this specific feature. Rest assured, you cannot "individually control parameters" at all. At best you have a 2 x 3 tent. The shelves also make for nice extra storage. At worst you have a divided grow area with an unacceptable amount of contamination. I am so disappointed. This tent had so many good reviews. I read the bad ones and thought quality control became a priority. From the light leaks, to the design, to the swindling advertising documentation. I have purchased other Vivosun products that I do think are well designed. It's a good company, but this is not a good tent. I was so excited for this product. Please don't make the same mistake I did.

Vivosun tent
Assembly was pretty straight forward, although the instructions were really poor, actually sliding on the mylar was a bit challenging , however it was nice and thick and no worry of tearing. The middle divider wall was also a bit tricky and took a second person pushing outside the tent to fully secure down , but once in place seems pretty firm , overall i am satisfied with the thickness and quality of the tent at this price, no harsh chemical smells, and all pretty straightforward assembly. as for the Cons, although not many there are a few, for starters there were lots of loose threads i had to burn off, and the metal frame is rather weak, ive seen people literally hang off competitors frame bars , with no bend, but if i tried that it would collapse , that being said its not weak and can hold both the light and vent fan no problem , there were also light leaks around each zipper, and down each side of the tent in random patches, lucky i do not need it in a dark room , because if i did i would most certainly remove a star for light leaks, the front is actually rather bad , that being said i dont really have anything else to complain about , especially at this price point , id say the only difference between this option and say something 200 dollar more expensive would come down to a very SLIGHT increase in thickness, and thicker metal bars, if its really needed ... that is subjective Will update after first grow with more details!

Funcional

Good tent
2-n-1 grow tent. Assembled the tent in about an hour by myself. Would suggest 2 people to make initial setup go smoother. Instructions need an overhaul. Setup examples showing placement/installation of lights and air handling with the tent would be helpful. Nice heavy material, zippers are good, I could only find a few pin holes on the seam for the very poorly placed tool storage bag. This should have been placed somewhere else not in the middle of a sidewall. I will be removing this. Had to fight with several of the poles as hole alignment wasn't great. Duct holes aren't in great locations either. Separator for veg/flower area didn't quite fit perfectly, uses velcro to attach, however the frame poles prevent this separator from attaching in the corners and from blocking 100% of light from other chamber. Its ok but requires a user solution to make it correct. requires additional air handling for the veg/clone chamber. In my opinion, tent needs cross members for side walls in 4x4 chamber, with the air cleaner running the sides get sucked in. Although I'm pleased by how air tight the tent is, now there is less space for plants. The 3 screened air holes let in too much light, the provided covers have velcro on all edges. So its air flow with lots of outside light or less air flow and no light, Again user work around required or add an intake fan and ducting. Althought 2 poles are included, another pole for hanging equipment would be very handy, 2 poles for the light and air cleaner and fans is very awkward. No hanging support for lower section of veg/clone area. Would like to put some lights there but Not comfortable attaching anything to the wire shelf. Basically it's a good sized tent, with some design short comings, none of which are deal breakers, i will be using the tent mostly as a single tent vs 2n1. Despite my criticisms this is still a good value, i do like it, I would buy it again. I would buy this tent 60x48x80 vs a 48x48x80(vivosun) - only 20-30$ more for the additional space.

Great product, awful instructions
Received as a gift for starting my garden plants indoors, we have a really short growing season. The bars are sturdy, all metal, with push button lock into place connections, also metal, so no tools are required to set up, and obvious that it can handle disassembling/reassembling time and again. I’m pretty handy, and was able to do it myself in about an hour and a half. It would have been much faster with help, and if the instructions had been more useful. What you see in the photo is all you get. 1 tiny schematic that happens to be wrong. Missing instructions for corner pieces and support bars for the shelf, which I spotted before getting too far and counted all of the parts to see what it must be. Additionally, the tent does NOT go on from above as the photo indicates, but instead has a base that is attached by a kilometre of zipper. Had I known this, I would have assembled the bars inside the tent instead of wrestling it in afterwards. This was the slowest part of the whole process. At 80” tall, I’m not sure how anyone would have accomplished it had it been expected to go on from above. A better instructional sheet or leaflet would push this to 5 stars. The frustration of errors making it far more difficult than it needed to be is the only negative thing I have to say about this. My herbs, peppers and tomatoes are happily waiting transplant, and I suspect I’ll be able to keep herbs and greens alive all winter in here. For those growing other things- there are lots of openings for ventilation set ups and whatever else you may need, with good Velcro on black out panels.
