Sturdy, Well-Made, Practical, Affordable, Worthy
I was looking for a good EDC that was affordable, reliable, durable and easy to use, and this knife fit all those criteria. It arrived very well sharpened, but I went ahead and put some final touches on it with a strop. Each blade opens smoothly, crisply to a solid opening, and open without fear of getting cut, which I find incredibly unnerving with some pocket knives. The blades shut with a very pleasing, smooth snap. The fit and finish are well done for such an affordable blade, no sharp edges, no gaps between the bolsters and scales, and very comfortable in hand while in use. The bolsters look and feel solid too, not tinny and cheap. All three blades are highly polished, hold an edge, and have been very durable with a multitude of uses. I have a lot of every day carry knives, that go into rotation, and even though this is one of the most affordable knives in that line of options, it seems to be the one I grab most frequently these days. I may be looking for the slightly smaller version of this knife, just as a gentleman’s knife for non-working days. I hope to find one with the same qualities as this one.

Great usefully budget option
Oldtimer is a great budget brand and cannot go wrong for the money. I like and collect alot of knives and deal with quite a few companies CS through the years, this is my recent experience with American outdoor brands. UPDATE: Still like the bone series and heritage series alot, and still buy some for gifts and collecting, BUT, have to give my recent experience with CS/repair dept.. it is non existent/useless, sorry oldtimer, but after a few months pondering, I feel others should hear of my experience. I have many new in the box oldtimers in multiples. Took a new in the box 2-3 year old 94otb out to sharpen for use (your grinds are very inconsistent) no biggie I like to sharpen knives. But upon inspection, both spey and clip blades whining fully open position had noticeable gap between blade tang and backsprings, thus one had about 2mm of up and down blade play and the other about 3mm of play, in open position. Ok,bummer,I'll send it in. Did as instructed on oldtimer website, contact them for rma#.... no response after a work week, sent another to CS...nothing after a week+, so I printed and filled out the work request form from their website and sent knife in anyways. No emails or any contact attempted, and yes I double checked my contact information. Three weeks later, package arrived from them, three weeks is very good thought, opened box and my knife was in there, untouched, not fixed, no letter,no explanation, nothing. Attempted to contact again for explanation...,and you guessed it, nothing. So though I like oldtimer alot and will likely buy more, I will regard their "limited lifetime-warranty" to be non existent, I hate to give such negative feedback on a company I like and support, but it is what it is, my own experience and have given them ample time to address with zero representation from American outdoor brands, very sad. So buy knowing, warranty might be non existent. And if your experience is better, then I am happy for you. I am a knife knut and collect alot of knives, mostly premium folders, but have a soft spot for budget high value knives as well, and give them as gifts regularly. Might have to stock up on more RR's instead. Just wanted to give buyers a heads up. I chucked the 94otb to toolbox,my other 5 94otb's are good overall, minor imperfections I'm used to from budget brands. I like and have multiples of all bone and heritage series, but will only buy them from a business that has no hassle return or buy in person only.

Reputable company, great product.
Although this brand is no longer produced here in the States, the quality hasn't veered too far away from its craftsmanship and quality. This is an exceptional budget knife for edc, as I've used mine for a few years working on the ranch and in the shop. I still have the ones my dad gifted me in the 80's, and my 3 year old grandson is fascinated every time I take out my yellow, weather beaten standby. He won't care where this piece was manufactured, he's going to appreciate it every time he looks at it with the same love as I did when I'd read the words "Old Timer". It's a great knife, and it's been worth the money I have paid for it. Hope this helps!

Hard to sharpen first time.
Hard to get sherp the first time along with middle blade has a slight bend makes it difficult to sharpen and looks ugly, but once you get reshaped and sharp it does okay handles well and sturdy

Very good knife
I know there are duds out there but all brands have their share of duds - case buck Gerber Kershaw - and the list goes on. I even own a few U.S. made old timers and uncle Henry knives that were not very good at all but I keep them just because. The knife I received is a very well built good looking knife and came very sharp right out of the box maybe I just got lucky. If you need to cut stuff and don't want to lose your $200 dollar knife or break your USA made old timer this is the perfect knife.

Great value and very sharp blades.
I was surprised at how big the package was fior this knife. It arrived with blades arranged in a T shape. All three blades are very sharp, and useful types. The yellow-scaled version was significantly cheaper than the fake deer antler one and I prefer its appearance in any case. Very happy with this purchase.
