Used it for two weddings. Worked great! Loved it! 1 year later I used it again for a small wedding, cable came out of case showing bare wires, and the red wire broke. Never dropped, abused, had it in my front pocket (minimal stretching of coiled cable that way) and then it comes apart. If the cable had just come out of the case I could glue it back in, but I have a bare red wire and can't see where the rest of it is. Great product but not durable...

Excellent design, poor implementation! The overall design and the ability to provide fast recycle time to the flash is excellent, so from the electronics point of view I give it 5 stars. The problem is with the cable that connect the power pack to the flash, it's way to thick and bulky. I totally understand that wire gauge is important but I have seen other units with thinner, lighter cables. If you have the battery pack clipped to your belt and the cable running up to the flash mounted on your camera, the cable is a real "drag". The only other issue is the belt clip, they need to fix the way it clips and unclips, as it is, it's cumbersome to attach and detach from the belt.

Photogs- for an inexpensive way to have your RT’s cycle as fast as a quantum or other external battery, this does the job nicely. It’s lightweight, stays put when I Velcro it onto the stand. I’ve taken at least 2500 images and the battery pack is down to 3 of 4 bars of power. It’s basically putting 16 batteries on your RT, cycles very fast, as well as hold battery power longer. I hope it works this way in a year, but honestly, nothing on it can break. It’s just batteries. It’s durable. Don’t throw it or run it over, it should last.

I bought these to extend my photo shoots. The batteries drain very quickly. My speedlights only last 2.5 hours with these attached at 1/2 power. I had one that I hardly had to change the batteries between uses. Very disappointed.

Works very well

I plugged this into my Neewer speedlite and it shorted it (so now the speedlite won't turn on). Super bummed.

Was great. Exactly like the other listings but was new so it hadn’t had any reviews yet. Had the fastest delivery which I needed so I took the risk. Got it and worked perfectly with my Canon 5D III and 600 ex-rt II flash set up. Used it for a two hour in-studio portrait session on my key light. Only slowed down a bit near the end but had I not used it I would’ve had to change my flash batteries at least one (probably twice), and at a significantly slower cycle time.

I was able to take multiple high speed shots and have the flash fire each time without any real slow down in the recharge of the flash. Definitely increases your ability to take more photos with the flash firing.
