UPDATE: Many months have passed since I originally wrote this review and my cholesterol level is considered within normal limits now. In addition to switching to flaxseed oil pills I also reduced my intake of potatoes, breads, and sugar, and started having protein shakes daily. I continue to take Flaxseed Oil caps daily for routine maintenance and am quite satisfied with them. Original Review: My doctor had me on Lovaza to lower my cholesterol but my insurance won't cover it anymore, so I had to switch to fish oil capsules instead. Unfortunately, the fishy aftertaste was so nauseating that I couldn't stand taking them and so my cholesterol level started to climb again, and when I discussed it with my doc he suggested that I take flaxseed oil instead. Switching to Flaxseed Oil capsules was a good decision for me because there's no fishy smell or aftertaste. They are also smaller and thinner than the fish oil capsules were, so they're easier for me to swallow. I take 2 capsules per day and look forward to seeing what next month's lab work will show my cholesterol level at by then. If you're like me and need the cholesterol reducing or other health benefits of Omega's but can't stomach the fish oil based products, then taking Flaxseed Oil capsules is an alternative that you might want to consider. These flax seed oil tablets are wonderful. I have started taking flax for my dry eyes and I believe it is helping. The pills are large but they do not upset my stomach. There are so many benefits of having regular flax so I feel good about incorporating this into my daily routine. I love that these are organic and the large bottle will last me a couple of months.

The pills are the large fish oil size, but translucent color. Unlike fish oil, once you take these, the scent doesn't come back up your throat an hour or more later. You take 1-2 pills each day with a meal. My doctor requested I take this to help with my dry eyes. Of which it has. I purchased a bottle in mid August and by early/mid November, my hair was super soft. I'm talking, soft as in it feels like I put product in my hair to obtain said softness. Only there's zero product in my hair. When I get in the shower, it feels like I just placed conditioner in my hair, that's how soft it is. A side effective I didn't know about and I love. I'm ordering another bottle, although I still have about a 1/4 left from the original August order as I only take one a day.

I use this to supplement my Omega-3 intake from fish oil pills, and right now am only taking 1 a day. It has good fiber and is a healthy oil, but I really wish they would put specifically the amount of individual oils in there (ALA/LA/OA, etc) instead of just lumping them together.

I use it after I make this START WITH A BLENDER LIKE Clean blend 3HP 1800-Watt Commercial Blender . 1/2 cup Hemp protein power 1/3 cup Hemp seed nut 1 Tlbs. Chia seed powder (this will gel if you let it sit) 3 Tlbs. Acai 1to 3 Tlbs. Lucuma 2 Tlbs. Gelatinized Maca 2 Tlbs. Dulse flakes 1 to 3 tsp. Camu Camu 1/3 cup Cacao (strong tasting, you will know if you use too much) 1 to 2 cups Frozen Blueberries or cherries, mango. Navitas Coconut Palm Sugar (or YACON to taste) Also I add some goldenseal root. 1 tsp. KUDUZU ROOT EXTRACT 1/3 CUP KOMBUCHA TEA BLEND 1-2 CUPS GOJI BERRIES Start with the blender of Hemp milk or COCONUT MILK. About 1/2 full.. Mix the frozen fruit first; on high, till it makes a "milk". Then the rest of each item, you want in it, THEN I ADD DARK CHOCOLATE ALMOND MILK.

I was looking for organic flaxseed capsules. I take these daily for my joints and with other oil absorbable vitamins and minerals. I love the larger bottle. The caps are pretty large, but not difficult to swallow. So far, so good.

I was looking for an alternative to fish oil for my husband, who cannot stand the aftertaste (and is very sensitive to it). Flax oil kept coming up in my research as an excellent omega-3-rich alternative. This is easy to swallow, inexpensive, and seemed to help his psoriasis a bit.

I take this product twice a day and it has done marvelous for my good cholesterol and my doctor as well as myself is very pleased. In fact I will be ordering more in the near future. I recommend this product to anyone.
