This file is a DREAM. If you are reading this, you've found the holy grail of foot files. If you are currently using a foot file that can double as a cheese grater, trust me when I say I know that fear of going over sensitive, split heels. I always fear the metal teeth will snag on the split skin, cutting too deep and it always happenes at least once. I love to be barefoot out in my garden. I do live in the desert so walking barefoot outside leaves my tootsies and heels quite dry and callused, my husband calls them alligator feet which is quite the insult to those poor alligators, ha! But, you get it, it was a process to make my feet presentable without being bloodied from the cheese grater style files. Enter: Lyra foot file! The first thing I was OOOOH! AHHHH! about was the texture! The surface of the file doesn't have any holes in it AND its double sided! The one side is flat with a fine fine etchings on the surface that make it quite grippy and is for smoothing out the skin after removal. The other side has the same etching with embossed bubbles making the texture ideal for removing the thick, dead skin that gathers on my heels. The handle hides a tiny file for small areas like toes! I used this while in the shower and mistakenly went in with it using the same pressure I would use with the other types, it wasn't necessary. The file EASILY removed the hard skin WITHOUT any pain.. literally none. I was cautions around some areas from habit, but this file was able to handle it all. I first used the bubbled side to file all around, it cleans off so easy under running water and it is quite satisfying to watch. Once I felt enough off the thicker skin was removed, I simply flipped the file around to soften it all with the flat side which felt so much nicer than a pumice stone! I used the little toe file on my big toes, I'll post a photo of them and I can tell I'll be using that little thing quite often. I am happy to report that I'll never have to buy a toe torturing contraption ever again and prompty trashed the duds after using this. Absolutely the BEST in its Category! My feet aren’t really bad but the calluses on the heels are something I can’t have. I have always cared for my feet an I’ve used the files made from Sugar and everything else. The sugar on was alright but it was by far nowhere near the quantity of this product. This one is Quality and I can’t imagine it breaking like all the other ones I’ve tried (The Handles breaking). The DYNESSE FOOT FILE IS absolutely Brilliant. Both Sides. The rough side is just Right and the Softer side is just perfect! I have never had my feet as baby soft as they are now and IN LESS THAN HALF THE TIME! The best review I read before purchasing this, recommended to use it in one direction on the rougher side and that was great advice. I just love this thing. Just get it. The price is great for this product. I don’t think you could ever wear this thing out!

I love this thing! My heels are smooth and look like I never had thickened or dry skin! Here are my recommendations: 1. ORDER IT!!! 2. I combined using this with Kerasal intensive foot repair. This stuff is amazing. I showered, worked my heels with the my pumice that I already had, and put this on the areas that had the built up skin, put on some socks, and in the morning I noticed a change in the texture. After that, I waited a few days and did a second use, repeating what I had already done and in the morning, the skin was starting to peel and was softened. 3. The foot file arrived. BE CAREFUL removing from box. This thing won't necessarily cut you, but it will catch to any skin, so I suggest letting it slide out onto a surface, maybe set a paper towel down for it to land on. 4. I tried it on dry skin. Note- start with the rougher side with the big bumps on it and you need a light hand. Don't go back and forth. Choose one direction to go in and barely apply pressure, just until you get to know the file. I would do a few swipes, then feel the area, and continued like this until I thought it was filed enough. Then I filipped it over and started smoothing it with the flatter side. This is when my jaw dropped. SMOOTH SMOOTH SMOOTH!!!! Bonus is the tiny one you pull from the handle. I used this on the side of my big toe where I had a little rough spot. 5. I waited a few days and then tried it after I showered. I did one foot immediately after the shower, and it had decent results. Then I did the other foot, about 45mins after my shower and WOW - worked amazingly well. The skin was softer but not too wet, so the file worked amazingly well. I actually went back to the other foot and re-did it. Note, you do have to continue to be careful. Err on the side of caution, one swipe too many and you can end up with something equivalent to road rash/raw skin. 6. Moisturize your tootsies. On my heels and other spots I used the file on I put Bag Balm. Gotta say- it works, I only use it at night, and put socks on. It's greasy and STINKS - I hate the smell. Other options that may be similar are items that are petroleum based. I told two of my girlfriends about this, and one of them got it and used it and LOVES it. Hope the info is helpful!

here.. i will save you some time.. no need to read any more reviews.. no need to search any further.. this is THEE BEST file you will find.. it has a filing side a smoothing side and even a compact mini file all in one.. as far as the reviews whining about their toe bleeding i say toughen up soldier hah smh as long as you have enough wisdom to know that your hand is the gas peddle and the brake so to speak then this thing will FIX ANYTHING you need PERIOD . yes your feet will be as smooth as a babys uhm face lol

This works good I actually like it the longer i have it. It’s been almost 2 years since i bought it and I actually still use The small minion piece that comes with it i chucked and kept falling out Love the scrubbing side and then the exfoliating side
