Are these DOT approved?

DOT general statement on gloves: Protect your palms, knuckles, and fingers with sturdily constructed, well-padded gloves, preferably the gauntlet styles that extend past the wrist. These are not gauntlet style (not required), however they are sturdy well made and have knuckle and finger padding. They will protect your palms better then not having gloves. Like the other gentleman said, "..they are goat skin....", goat skin are softer and more pliable then cow hide. I would definitely use these for bike riding
