Dishwasher door seal
I purchased the BlueStars 99002588 Dishwasher Door Seal Gasket as a replacement for a Maytag dishwasher. It arrived quickly and was adequately packaged. It fit well and after one cycle of dishes it appears to have solved the leak issue. The seal was plenty long. I trimmed 7 or 8 inches from the end for the final fit. The only negative aspect is that there are no instructions included. Granted, it's a pretty straight forward install. Plus, there are videos online that offer useful tips, such as soaking the seal in warm water before installation to make it more pliable. It's just a minor annoyance that the vendor depends on someone else to provide installation instructions. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Works great!
I wasn't sure if it would fit my dishwasher, but the Maytag model number was listed so I bought it. The old gasket pulled out easily. The new gasket fit in easily and I cut it to the proper length. The dishwasher door closed with a little difficulty, but it latched. I monitored it the first time I ran the dishwasher after putting in the new door seal, but it was fine.

Clean up the existing debris before installing
This fitted well for a Maytag dishwasher. To make sure it was direct replacement, I checked parts sites on the internet to match the numbers. I had installed this dishwasher in 2006, and the only issue was slight leak on the door edges. Putting a new gasket in solved all issues, including a better drying cycle and eliminating residual water at the bottom of the washer following a wash cycle - now, works like when it was new. You may want to put a little plumbers silicone grease at the bottom of the gasket to ease the door against the gasket. I would recommend changing this gasket out at about 10-12 years of use, before leaks happen. Made in China, because USA Inc. forgot what it's like to make things. Good value.

Not quite OEM but good enough if you install it correctly
I used this on an always-lousy end-of-life Maytag dishwasher. I made the mistake of cutting it exactly to the size of the channel and discarding the rest (this was actually two mistakes...). This seal did't fit the channel snugly and would keep falling out so I initially used some gorilla glue, which didn't tolerate the heat, and then some silicone to secure it to the channel. The seal still leaked from the bottom. BTW, the gorilla glue hardened up and was a pain to remove from the seal, so lesson learned... I pulled the seal out, removed the silicone, cut it into two halves and installed each half leaving an extra 1.5" or so extending beyond the end of the channel at the bottom on each side. This time, instead of using silicone, I wedged some popcicle sticks between the side of the channel and the seal to keep it in place. Since I had previously discarded the unused portion of the seal, I had to fill the new gap between the two halves on top with some self-adhesive rubber sealing strip from HD. In hindsight, I would have been better off had I just used the general-pupose seal from HD instead of ordering this so-called "replacement part". For one thing, I doubt I would have blithely discarded the unused portion. Why Maytag molded in a well-defined channel which still leaks when a seal which snugly fits the channel is installed is a mystery.

Don’t buy (at least for 99002588). Doesn’t fit.
This item does not fit 99002588! This was discovered after cutting to size. Guess it can’t be returned. DO NOY BUY.

This was an exact fit for my whisperclean 200 maytag
I ended up not needing the seal but it does work if you do. In my case the leak was at center of door at the bottom. Everywhere says it was door seal. So I was ok it door ill order one. Well I replaced and it fit good and door was harder to close initially unit it “seats”. But I still had leak at center. In my case the bottom of the door warped outwards and the floor pan warped in the bottom center front downwards. This is from heat and many year of use. Took a heat gun. Took door panel off door and heated bottom and straightened it out. Then heated floor pan. Propped a piece of wood underneath pushing up while it cools. And fixed my leak
