If you have a dirty sensor or are buying/have bought a second hand camera, this is the kit for you.
By giving me the tools to clean my sensor myself this cleaning kit saved me a ton of money and time. I recently bought a Canon 600D (T3i) second hand, and noticed that the sensor had some major dust particles and smears which caused some very noticeable shadowing and specks on my images and video. I came across this kit and decided to give it a try. It arrived promptly and was well packaged. It came with 12 swabs, and a cleaning solution. I had never done this before, but reading the other reviews made me confident that I could do it without damaging my sensor. It took me 7 swabs 3 wet and 4 dry before I was finally able to get rid of a particularly large smear and am extremely happy with the results. My pictures are now clean and I still have 5 swabs and a full bottle of cleaning solution to use in the event that I may need to perform another cleaning or, if I buy another second hand camera. I am going to order another one just to have in my kit as it has proven to be a most useful and powerful tool. My thanks goes to the makers of this fine product and I highly recommend it.

Used only "one" swab to clean it perfectly clean.
It came in the factory box within a padded envelope, but in perfect condition. These are high qualty swabs. Better then expected. I would buy from UES Happystep again without hesitation. For what its worth, I was able to swipe back and forth about six times with the same swab. The first few swipes where when still wet, but the last few swipes where after it had quickly dried. I had blown air on the swab between swipeing each time to blow off any dust. The result is that my EOS 70d Canon sensor is cleaner then it was from new. Actuley perfectly clean now. Not one speck anywhere to be seen. Also for what it is worth, I used an inspection loupe. This loupe made the job so much faster and easier. I would never attempt a sensor cleaning with out a loupe.

Not only works, but so easy you’ll wonder why you ever paid someone else to clean your sensor.
I bought these over a month ago when the sensor spots became too much to handle and I didn’t want to shop my camera off to be cleaned during covid. Who knows if I’d even have it back yet? But I was honestly worried about doing it myself and screwing it up. The reviews I read prior gave me the courage to consider doing it myself, and the lack of open local camera store options pushed me to break open a couple of swans and give it a whirl. I can happily report it was easy and 100% successful. I have a Sony a6000 with a crop sensor and these swabs were the perfect width. I had read the recommendations to put two drops directly into the end of one swab to clean. I had already air dusted and used the sensor vibration cleaning one last time to no avail, so I knew I was ready to go. I used one swab(wet) and made a pass each way across the sensor(2 in total). Then I repeated the motions with a dry swab. That was it. First time, only needed one time. Whew! If I can add my blue sky test to this review I will so you can see for yourself. As clean as day one and, at least until next time, no more cleaning up spots in post! Love it.

Good Stuff, Got The Dust, But Not The Oil
Bought this kit for the APS-C swaps. The SunRoom DKL-6 kit hey make simply didn't supply enough swaps. The sensor swap and solution didn't take care of the oil, but did a good job handling the dust. Searching on the web, I purchased a cleaner advertising it removes oil. Some users gave it a couple stars and said it just smears things more. I ordered it anyways since the oil was still smeared on the sensor after using this product repeatedly. Upon arrival, I used the swaps from this kit and applied "Smear Away" and it worked beautifully, my sensor is like new again. If you get this kit for the brushes, get a bottle of "Smear Away" to handle any oil based deposit on your sensor.

Works for the sony a6000 and a68!
I am a real estate photographer, and I can't tell you how many times I've seen dust particles in my photos. It stresses me out to no end, they're like a disease, really. So I would spend about 20 minutes frantically cleaning my sensor with lens cleaning solution, multiple cotton swabs, microfiber cloths, and tissue papers. I would lightly damp the cotton swab and then spend 15 minutes trying to get rid of all the streaks on the mirror. Then I would have to blow all the dust out from the cotton swabs, micro cloths, and tissue paper. It was a ORDEAL, and a stressful one at that. I dreaded changing lenses because it was inevitable. Dust was going to sneak in no matter what. After purchasing these sensor swabs, it literally took me less than a minute to complete undo what I had done with my weird method. It got rid of all the dust, streaks, everything. IN ONE SWIPE. I am so thoroughly satisfied, you have no idea! It says to not re-use the swabs, but after I got done cleaning my a6000, I went ahead and cleaned my a68 with the same sensor swab. No harm done. I am so happy that I don't have to spend 20 minutes cleaning one sensor anymore! (And potentially damaging it!) This is safe, FAST, and affordable! I recommend it to all. And they give you enough to last for a very long time. It's a good idea to keep a few in your bag, just in case! Love this!

Does Everything Described and More
Excellent product. It does everything listed and more! Most videos I've seen have used this product to eliminate dust spots. I used this to clean off a sizable fingerprint smudge on my sensor. I saw a video that said that such a smudge might ruin my camera forever. The smudge ended up being no match for this sensor cleaner. If you're not sure how to use this product, watch an instructional video -- that'll help. This is an important product for camera cleaning, but if you'd like to avoid using it as much as possible, change your lenses out with your sensor facing down so that dust particles that do not fall down ONTO the sensor. Do NOT try to make a home remedy unless you've seen one work. And DO NOT, DO NOT put your finger onto the sensor. Even though I was able to clean the smudge off, don't give yourself more work to do. That being said, do yourself a favor and buy this product. It is so much better than using a microfiber cloth (which will simply spread smudges and dust spots.) It is essential for emergencies which can happen even if you are changing lenses properly.

I was getting some black spots on my images that could not be removed with a thorough blow from my Giottos Rocket, so I decided to have a go at cleaning the camera sensor myself. This kit had decent reviews and was reasonably priced. The instructions were clear enough and each swab was individually sealed. Each swab was a tiny bit short for my Canon APS-C sensor, so I used two in the recommended manner - with a drop of fluid - and tossed them away. The procedure was quick and easy, not as stressful nor as difficult as I had imagined. Just be gentle and steady. To my delight the images from my DSLR are now spot-free once more.

My Sony A6000 sensor had become dirty thanks to exposing it to a wide variety of weather conditions. There were plenty of black dots all over my photos which was really annoying especially when shooting sunsets or clear skies at a lower aperture. If you are shooting wide open, for eg F1.4, F1.8 etc you hardly see any dots though. I used this on my sensor, and almost every single dot disappeared ! Magical. Worth importing from US. Highly recommended. # Things to do before using this # 1) Go to the Camera Settings Menu and do a Sensor Clean ( if there is such an option in your camera ). This will clear away some dusts, but not all. 2) Use a good rubber blower and blow the dusts on the sensor After doing the above procedures take a sample photo of a white sheet or something - put the lens to the lowest aperture ( F22 or so ) and shutter speed around 1 sec or so. Take a shot and check the photo. Zoom in to see if there are still any black dots. If there are, and you really wanna get rid of them, then its time for the wet clean with the swabs. The instruction manual provided is straight forward. However i would recommend checking out some Youtube videos to see how it's done. Just use one or two drops only, don't soak the swab fully with the liquid.
