I bought this originally thinking it worked differently and that it would be able to do the large curls easily with it. Well, no it is just a straightener. I bought it and pulled it out ready to curl my hair, and was pretty disappointed when I realized its just a straightener. I was do convinced i was just gonna return it but i was already this far, guess I'd straighten my hair instead. It is the best straightener I've ever had. My hair has gotten long and thick since pregnancy and I'd have a horrible time straightening my hair and it always still have waves and I couldnt get to the roots and so honestly I hardly went to straighten my hair. But i straighten it all the time with this. It basically combs your hair straight (straighten dry, not wet!) and picks up so much hair at a time and even easily does roots and never has those clamp lines that i can get woth traditional hair straighteners. Another HUGE perk for me: i always use sprays that protect your hair against heat. like 2 times into using a normal straightener it starts to smell burnt and my hair always smells terrible when i straighten it, which was another reason i hated to straighten my hair. I could never clean them enough not to stink. Now, I've used this thing a lot, and still no burnt smell. I think that alone is awesome. I have been that dumb girl whose like going to ever girl i know to tell them about this straightener. Like "you want a recommendation that you aren't asking for!?" Im crazy about it! My only complaint is i wish the power/heat button was located somewhere else, like even flipped to the other side because it seems to be right where i want to put my thumb while combing so im often changing heat setting and turning off qhile im using it. But that's nit picking. But seriously, for the price too, I am in love!

I like how it is easy to use. It really does work on my 4c hair. I didn't like that it only has 3 heat levels and it don't let you choose your own temperature for your hair. The button is in the wrong place. It should be at the bottom of the comb. Every time when I hold it the button gets in the way and I accidentally push and it goes to another setting. It straighteners my 4c hair good. It gets to the roots of my hair really well! Overall, it's a very great product to have for your hair.

BACKGROUND: I have fine, slightly wavy hair, but there's a good amount of it. I've tried the other kinds of "brush" straighteners with the alternating bristle things and they don't work nearly as well. PROS: This is THE FASTEST AND EASIEST hair straightening tool I've ever used! It actually does what it says it does and produces incredibly straight, sleek hair. It heats up in just a minute or so, and then literally takes me less than 5 minutes to straighten my hair! On a very curly head of hair, or perhaps coarser textured hair, I'm thinking it would likely take longer depending on how thick your hair is. But my hair is only about 6" past my shoulders and fine in texture, so it doesn't take me long at all and just couldn't be any easier. Plus, it gets very close to the roots of my hair and I haven't seen the first "crimp" lines that you can get from a regular flat iron. That in and of itself is brilliant to me! But add the speed and ease of use and the fact that it only takes me 5 minutes to get my hair from wavy to straight, and I'm just tickled pink about it all! CONS: It does pull at your hair a just a wee bit. Not overly much though, and making sure your hair is pre-brushed and tangle free FIRST cuts waaaay down on most of that. Also, taking thinner sections cuts down on it too - tangle free hair and thinner sections result in only a mild tension which isn't too bad at all and I feel like it helps in the straightening process. Essentially, the amount that it pulls is LARGELY impacted by your pre-maintenance prep on your hair, so this minor con was not enough for me to deduct a star. OVERALL THOUGHTS: I LOVE this. I used to have pin straight hair when I was younger but as I've aged, it's started to get a wee bit wavy as I've aged (I'm 51 now) and a few minutes with this and my hair is as sleek and straight as it was in my youth. Is it going to give you the same results as some high end fancy schmancy flat iron? No probably not, but it's definitely perfect for every day use or a night on the town, etc. But if you're up for an academy award, or it's your wedding day, or some other once in a lifetime type special event and you desperately need absolute perfection, then sure, go ahead and spring for a pricy high end tool. But the bang for what you get with this tool just cannot be beat, especially for 99% of the events in your life, including (and especially) your daily routine!

Buyer beware. Although I do love this comb the quality is very poor. My first purchase started to malfunction after 4 months. It would not turn on or would randomly turn off. But even more concerning was my second purchase. This item said it was heated to 450 but it absolutely was not that hot. I was able to compare to my old one and the difference in heat and the end result of your hair was dramatic. I returned it and am now ordering a third and hoping this one works. Again I love this straightening comb and the results when it works is amazing. But tour hair should be HOT when it comes out of the comb and shiny. Not lukewarm and frizzy (like the second one gave me). So for that reason I'm giving 3 stars.

No, no, no. Don't waste your money! I bought this straightener based on a beauty blogger's Youtube video--silly me--and I hate it so much I'm throwing it away. It does NOT go smoothly though my hair, but tugs and gets caught. But worse, it's impossible to keep the needed tension on the hair all the way to the end, because, well you can't hold on to the last inch because it's in the channels of the straightener. So that last bit just gets frizzy and wispy. Lastly, the handle design is awful--when gripping it, it's so easy to accidentally hit the button that I kept turning it off in the middle of use, without realizing it until it I noticed that it was too cool to work. All in all, a bad product. Maybe the blogger got a different model, maybe she was paid to recommend it. Who knows? Just don't buy the one linked here. Better yet, don't buy electronic devices from no-name companies with no reputation for quality over the long term. And by the way, "brush straightener" is a misnomer. There is no brush, just hard plastic channels that the hair sits in.

I would show a picture of the finished product, but my hair in its natural state is not very photogenic (sorry, too crazy looking). However, one of the main reasons why I decided to buy this hair drying brush is the reviews from people of my skin tone (if you haven't guessed it, I'm African American). Now, it's pretty standard in use as a regular hair dryer, but with the silicone bristles that separate your hair as it dries it. Going into this experience I was hopeful because it usually takes at least an hour and a half to dry my hair with a regular hairdryer. I was hoping this particular product could not only cut down my time frame but also be a lot faster. This is my new favorite device to use on my hair. It was faster and it only took 30 minutes to dry my hair with this product. Now, my hair is curly/coily and a little past my shoulders; your time frame could be different, as well as your experience with it, so take my opinion with a grain of salt and try for yourself. I will say depending on the length of your hair, or if you have really short hair this brush might not be for you right now. It's affordable, it's convenient, and it seems to work on a wide range of hair types. What's not to love, right?

This hair straightener is amazing! I ordered it because I was at an RV fair this past weekend and a salesperson/vendor used their straightener on my hair (he was selling these, was some off brand) and I fell in love with it but I didn't want to pay his price which was $159. So then I saw that Amazon had a very similar one but with added features that other one didn't have like this has an auto shut off after 60 minutes and also has 3 heat settings. And so I went with this one by Rifny and this morning after I washed and dried my mid length hair, i sectioned it and slowly ran this heated hair comb thru each section and voila! It took all the frizz out and left me with straight and wavy hair. Wavy because I purposely wrapped the section of hair (wrapped it completely around once) around the heated comb as I slowly pulled the comb away from my head in order to get some wave. I am perfectly satisfied. This thing works! And it was the fasted hair appliance of the many I have.

it does straighten but as you get to the ends there is no tension, so the hair just falls through. The button was right on the handle when you are holding it the temp will change or you can accidentally turn it off. was not impressed

Great item. This was my first time using a straightening anything on my hair. Very easy to use and fuctionality. Does not get your edges all the way straight but overall a great item.

I would give this product a 3.5 stars if possible. I have thick curly hair (2c/3a for any curly girls out there). Typically after a night of sleep my hair starts to get wavy and I end up tying it up. I bought this product as a quick styler for these days when I don't exactly want to spend 1 hr straightening my hair with a straightener and preferably exposing my hair to less harsh heat since I recently got highlights. Mostly I am happy with the brush and here are some of my opinions. The likes: - unlike straightener it gives your hair a bit of body which I like - heat it pretty consistent and does a good job of straightening - combs and straightens at the same time for lazy girls like me The dislikes: - because of the brush design I find it harder to do the ends of my hair. You kind of have to maneuver your hair around the brush to get it all straightened which can make it difficult to do the back - button is in an annoying spot and sometimes I end up pressing it while I straighten Overall it met most of my expectations with some design flaws but it suits my needs for the time being. What you can't see in this pic is the back of my head which I got a bit lazy about doing - it's def not the easiest tool for doing your own back of head but a little bit more time spent and I think it's overall a decent product to work with.
