Great Caller ID with many mulitple features!
QUICK UPDATE - 1/26/19Still very pleased with my Caller ID - but does not have memory backup as indicated in the product description.FYI - If the power goes out, everything in memory is lost. Not a big deal for a day or two but if you were away for a week and the power went out, all data preceding the power outage would be gone. That being said, my earlier 5-star review remains the same - it works really well and I especially like the green blinking light and red blinking light - I can tell at a glance when I walk in the door what is happening!ORIGINAL REVIEW (unchanged) as follows:Very pleased with this new Caller ID that I just purchased!I love the lights - a green light indicates that a call came though while the red light indicates that a message is waiting.Phone number, caller name, date, and time of call are displayed. The date and time remain on continuously.Very easy to wall mount next to the phone or - as in my case - near a separate wall jack so I can see everything at first glance when I come in the door.In summary: a lot of good and useful information packed into this Caller ID unit!

Very nice
It works great. Plug it in and it sets the time and date on the first call. It doesn`t have battery back up. The display is adjustable. It`s easy to read. It`s self programming. It shows when they called. It`s easy to delete. If it had battery back up and a lit background it would be perfect. But then it would cost more too! Update-it will rarely miss a call so will be replacing it.

Almost Impossible To Read
Update 7/20/2019I purchased my caller ID in December 2018. It no longer works! At first, it failed to display SOME incoming calls. Now it does nothing--no name, no phone number are displayed. Months ago, it stopped displaying the LED light to alert user to incoming calls. I was informed that the unit is NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. It says a lot about a product when the manufacturer won't warrant a produce even a year.MY ADVICE: Send 10.00 more and get a decent product. This one offers nothing. The print is too small and too weak to easily read. If the entire unit were 1/2" longer and wider, the numbers would be so much easier to read, and the size of the device wouldn't be dramatically changed. My unit sits on my desk, flat. But it is so light that the three wires pull it off the desk. I mounted my unit on a block of wood.Updated Ma:y 12, 2019: Now my unit has stopped working altogether. I have tried resetting it. I've verified all the connections are good. And I have noticed that, although it is LESS THAN A YEAR OLD, it is OUT OF WARRANTY.So I've adjusted my overall rating to ONE STAR. I would have chosen ZERO STARS if it had been possible.DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY, FOLKS! This unit is junk, and the manufacturer must agree since they offer such a weak warranty,

Works well with digital landline
This is a product category that doesn't get a lot of attention anymore. There are new call blocker products being offered, but very few simple caller ID boxes. Not too surprising, given that most phones have integrated LCD displays these days. If someone could convince Panasonic that they should put an LED into their base units that would flash for missed calls and digital landline voice mails (stored by the phone company) I wouldn't need a separate caller ID box anymore. There is a lot to like about this little box. It doesn't require batteries. You don't have to set a clock on it. It displays both the number and the name. The LED flashes green when there is a missed call, and red when there is voice mail waiting. (I really, really, like that feature.) It's very reasonably priced. As others have noted, the display is kind of small, and there is no back-lighting. And yellow? Really? The lack of back-lighting is the only thing that kept me from rating it 5 stars, but it didn't keep me from buying another one to have as a spare a few years down the road.

A Really Wonderful Useful ID Caller!
Hello my friends out there, I've got to say that this is the best id caller machine I have ever used. It does everything I would expect and more. It lets you know is you have voice mail messages if you have this service installed on your phone line by flashing red in the indicator light on the machine or if you have a call it flashes green. It shows everything on the screen. It works on a coax cable line such as Suddenlink phone service or it will also work on an ordinary landline phone too. You couldn't ask for a better id caller than this one. it super awesome. I recommend this id caller to you. I simply don't think you will be disappointed at all.

No phone support
It works once set up however the setup is a nightmare, the instructions do not cover everything that is needed to actually set it up there is no instructions on how to change the date-time or format, aside from that it appears to work, I would avoid this like the plague unless you have extensive knowledge of how to program/set up new devices.

Call Blocker & Caller ID Box
This is for blocking callers on land line phone service when you have caller ID service. For cell phones, use an applicable cell phone application. The Amazon description is a bit misleading, as the caller ID function (which is what I need) is not as good as a strictly "Caller ID" box, so if it's caller ID you want, avoid these Blockers. For caller ID with this box, (I used "parallel" connection to phone line), the display is on only while the phone is ringing. After I or answering machine picks up, the caller ID disappears, but it remains in memory to look at after the call. The actual ID is a bit hard to read, as the numbers are tall (a half inch), but only an eighth inch wide. And there is no date or time displayed either during the call, or on the display from memory. Also the actual brand is Pearl, not SBC Snet.
