Marvin's Magic Lights from Anywhere Junior - Thumb Light Trick for Kids

My Grandson Requested Marvin's Magic-Lights Junior edition as part of his Christmas. I bought it but had an issue with the outside box. I left feedback to the seller and they were absolutely awesome! Very responsive to the issue and great communication. I know my Grandson is going to love the gift he wanted for Christmas. And a big Thanks! to the Seller for being so kind and helpful! Review from my 9 year old who received this for a birthday gift - I like it because it is like you have a magical light in your hand and it can be really handy for magic tricks. Review from the mom - It's not quite what I expected given the picture on the box, but that's the "trick." I recommend this for a child who enjoys magic AND showmanship. It's really all about presentation for this trick and requires a bit of practice. The item itself seems durable and I expect it would hold up over time.

I bought these when I saw the viral dentist video of someone using them and they are just as cool in real life. Kids are, as expected, delighted but it’s also funny to see adult eyes widen as they try to figure it out. When you open the case and see gigantic rubber thumbs, it’s impossible to believe anyone will fall for it but with your hands in motion (assuming your skin tone matches the set), really all they see if the lights. Spend a few minutes playing with them in front of the mirror and then go amaze people. Highly recommend.

I only gave it 3 stars because one of the lights won't work unless I press down really hard to activate it. I only used it sparingly for a couple of weeks and one of them malfunctioned. Once the batteries wear out, not sure how to replace them or have to buy a whole new set. Seems like I only got a few episodes of use out of them. If you keep your distance from the audience and turn the lights down very low or off, the trick works really well. Pretend to throw it through the top of a table and bring it out from underneath. Practice sticking your thumbs in your back pockets when finished to hide the gag, then reverse it to do the trick again. If you want to really fake-out kids under 10, like at a birthday party or something, then this one is worth a go.

My both sons loved it. They practiced the tricks many many times and even they had two short performances at the 2 parties that we had so far! The younger kids got amazed to see the tricks, even the adult found it interesting! A bit expensive but my sons paid it with their allowances!

I ordered the adult size version of this product and they work great, so I got these for my son to fit his hands better. The first pair worked the first time we used them for about 10 or 15 minutes but the second time they just stayed on. I returned them and got the second pair instead of a refund, because they are pretty fun, and the same thing happened. They stayed on or came on by themself, not fun. So I just returned them for the cash back and will get another set of the adult size for my son, he'll just have to be a little more careful since they slip off kind of easy on smaller hands.

I bought similar ones on a trip to Disneyland with my grandkids. I fooled around with them in a restaurant and taught my 10-year old granddaughter how to use them. She put together a little act at the table and pretty soon kids started coming around to watch her "catch the fairies". Then parents came around to thank her for entertaining the kids and to tell how well she was doing. That got her cooked. She likes the stage. Four months later and I found out she has taken up the unicycle. Does her light act on the unicycle at sports events. These lights have created a monster. She is getting into magic, public speaking, singing, and the cello - all because of these lights and that night. Her sister is following in her footsteps and getting into "show business". Has her own unicycle. Jumps rope on the thing and juggles with her sister. Crazy. You can never tell.
