Can't say enough about how much I love this audio Bible! I have had electronic bibles in the past, but they do not compare to this one! What I love: 1) Size is small and handy, lightweight and attractive. Attached carry cord. A stand alone device. Not an application that resides on a computer or tablet. I like keeping things simple. 2) No earbuds necessary! This bible has speakers which make it possible to listen without the inconvenience of being attached to earbuds and which can be uncomfortable when going off to sleep. To me this is most important feature. It also comes with earbuds, so it is the best of both worlds. 3) The dramatized version is somewhat like listening to a radio play. Well done with music and some great speaking voices. This must have been a labor of love! 4) No worries about buying batteries as all that is necessary is to plug the adapter into the wall to recharge for approximately 10 hours. This is important if you fall asleep while listening and use a lot of battery time in one night. 5) Easy to use with the press of buttons. Slight learning curve for certain features, but for basic playing, very intuitive and easy. 6) There is a feature that allows you to turn off the unit, and it will remember where you left off and continue. 7) Each book is announced by name so you can scroll through to find the book of your choice OR plug in the exact book you want to play. 8) Easy to navigate using one button from Old Testament to New Testament to soothing Music. 9) Comes with handy user manual with reference to plug in specific numbers for specific sections of the Bible. 10) Last but not least, customer service is responsive and very helpful. I misplaced the user manual, and they helped me quickly with this problem. Down the road, I may buy the non-dramatized version as well so that I will have both. For anyone who has the desire to read the Bible, but for one reason or another has not been able to do so as much as desired, this device is a little miracle.

This is a great prodict let me tell you why I think so. I have had other brands of audio players and this is truly easy navigation. I don't know what other people's problems are because it is very easy to type in the book and chapter. There is a little chart in the book that you can copy and even tape to the back of the player or slide it in a pouch...or keep the book handy. After a week or so you've actually memorized what number each book of the Bible is and isnt that a good thing to know Gods Word even better? Think how you can impress your Sunday school class next time..."hey lets turn to the 19th book of the Bible"..ha ha. Seriously. The volume is fantastic. Loud, soft, whatever you want. No need for added speaker. The reason why i chose this vs just using my phone: its dedicated to the Bible, nothing else to distract, it is louder than my speakerphone and yet I can use my headphones too, its simple and I am not tempted to check my email while I am listening, its less expensive than my phone so not a big deal if I lose it ir damage it while gardening or wherever, I can stick it in the cup holder of my car and listen easily with no fuss... So I really recommend it. Its warrantied for 12 months and best yet...the battery is rechargeable unlike other players. I use the KJV dramatized and it is excellent. Highly recommend. Best money I've spent on amazon.

Purchased for a gift.

This is the third player that I've purchased, and the first one was some 10 years ago. I love them all and they're very durable. The latest one is a great, dramatic version of the KJV, a favorite of mine that I have on my cellphone. The new version has a newer, simplified user interface and it's just a little bit simpler to use. The adapter is also a bit different and I planned to use it on the other models I have but it didn't work and I requested to purchase the old adapter (as we have recently moved and it was lost in all of the moving). To my surprise, a free adapter was provided by the company along with some very kind emails. I highly recommend these Bibles and for me it's helpful because I like not only reading the word of God but also hearing it. Very durable with good audio quality.

Listening to God’s Word, dramatized with background music, sound effects and each person’s voice is so interesting and adventurous. I never get tired of listening to and learning God’s Word with this audio Bible.

As a man in my early 70s, I struggle to get good quality sleep. Taking time to wind down in the evening is helpful to getting a good nights sleep so I decided to spend more time with the Bible before going to bed. This takes me away from the bright TV and computer screens that can disrupt your biological clock. My first choice of this product was the KJV dramatized and I really enjoy the extra background sounds with the dramatized narration. Several people are involved in the quotation of verses in the Bible and add to the imagery as I listen. I would sometimes read along as I listened but other times I would go straight to bed and just listen. I found this to be quite relaxing and calming and I would sometimes find myself falling asleep. Occasionally a change in voice or background sounds would wake my up so I now also have the non-dramatized version for those times I lay in bed and fall asleep. The unit has a rechargeable battery that will allow for about 10hrs playback before recharging. The charging port is micro-USB while older models were mini-USB. All modules use a replaceable BL-5C battery that can be found here at Amazon.com. The charging time can be more than a couple hours so I ordered a couple batteries. I find this audio Bible to be an excellent way to get more familiar with the Bible without strain to tired eyes at the end of a day. It has buttons for forward and back of both books and chapters and a mode button to switch from Old Testament, New Testament, and a musical track section. You can also direct enter by number code but I find it sufficient to operate with the book and chapter buttons. The volume is controlled by up-down buttons which prevents an accidental increase or decrease that a rolling volume control is likely to do if you bump the unit while in bed. All this information is shown on a display screen and here is where I have the only complaint with the unit. (knocked off 1 star in review) The last thing you want in bed while trying to go to sleep (or even winding down in the evening before you got o bed) is is a bright BLUE lit background. The display light turns off after a minute or so, but it relights every time you touch one of the buttons. Please! will someone think about changing the color to red? There are quite a few options in translations from Daily Meditation and they have a web site where you can listen to a verse or two to help you decide on which unit to buy. I'm certainly glad I bought this and highly recommend it to others wanting to spend more time with God's Word. Check my other reviews and may God help you in your quest for good sleep.

I now own 4 versions of this particular Audio Bible Player (NASB, KJV Dramatized, KJV Non-Dramatized and the NRSV Dramatized). All have been purchased on Amazon from this seller and highly recommend the players as well as the company without reservation to any and all that love hearing the Word of God brought to life in a simple and effective way!

I love this and so do my grand babies. I have purchased 6 of these so far as gifts and have given mine away only to purchase another Perfect for laying under your pillow at night or putting the earphones in your ears, it has the old testament New Testament and soothing music and the battery last a very long time and the best of all it is King James version

Quality seems pretty good and the voice is ok.
