Better than duct that came with area air conditioner
I used this on my portable air conditioner. I was tired of replacing the 4 inch duct that Kept falling apart. I used the clamps to tighten on the outside of tube. Works great. I am hoping the alum. Lining makes the plastic tube last longer. Oh and 16 ft was too long so i cut in half and now have a back up.

Works Perfectly for My Needs
I use this insulated flexible hose to heat my rooftop tent from a diesel heater, and it works really well. Se deshace, se rompe, es muy frágil
El tubo es sumamente frágil y se rompe fácilmente. Lo colocamos a la secadora y lo movimos hacia un lado y se rompió. Después quise cortarlo porque está largo y sin exagerar, se empezó a romper, a jalar la cinta con que está envuelto y a deshacer. Estoy muy decepcionada y no lo recomiendo

I bought this flex hose for my daughter's halloween costume (she's going as a Gonk Droid from Star Wars) so I can't comment on the noise level or the actual intended function, HOWEVER I will say it is made of very thick (yet flexible!) material, and it is much better quality than the flimsy aluminum vent hoses from the hardware stores! The clamps it came with are strong and good quality as well.
