Great easy to set up no problems

Just as with the previous review by Ian P I found the instructions to be totally bewildering and I am usually spot on with gadgets. I've chucked them out rather than waste another minute trying to log seven different settings in for shift work. I've gone back to the basic timer dials that are easy to operate.

I have had four over a long time (used to be ARLEC) and have just bought another two. They come with full instructions and every possible combination of switching including random. If one fails to turn on it will be because I have set it incorrectly or not switched the socket on. Even with the socket off it will retain the settings for a considerable time.In all the years I have had these, I have never had one fail and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

I bought a pack of 2 timers to use with a radio and with a lamp. The timer is straightforward and easy to set for various times during the 7 day period, and the numbers are easy to read. The buttons are quite close together but quite manageable. A neat simple timer with lots of options.

The timers work well and have more than enough settings. The only weakness is that the instructions were difficult to read and I had to enlarge them.

Argos used to sell a three pack timer model with more or less the same layout as this one . Unfortunately Argos stooped stocking them. My first impression is that that it is very similar the only difference is that it is a little smaller and the buttons do not have a positive “click” when pressed. Also the overhang between the top and bottom of the timer will limit the items you can hook up to it especially chargers where the output wire emerges from the top of the charger.

The instructions were atrocious and after umpteen attempts I decided life was far to short to waste any more time trying to work out how to set the timers to do what I wanted them to do.I'd suggest any potential buyers look elsewhere, they didn't just defeat me but several other people failed to get them to work.
