To Boot New York Men's Scott Boot

I would wear a size 12.5 in most shoes (but not many are available). I ordered size 12, and they are a little large for me. I don't believe the 11.5 would've been large enough. I may add some heel inserts, but I need to give them a week of all-day wearing before I decide. Typical, great To Boot NewYork quality and appearance.

I really liked the style and construction of these boots however they fit very large. I normally wear an 11 and had to buy a 9.5. Make sure to thoroughly review Amazon's sizing chart before purchasing.

Boots are beautiful and would receive 5 stars if they weren't too large. I'm usually a size 8.5 in To Boot New York boots, but I read the review on here that they run large, so I purchased a size 8. I am returning these boots back to Amazon because even the size 8 is large on me. A would most likely be a size 7.5 in these boots.

Following the tradition of To Boot, the Scott is very well made. The leather is supple, and while showing imperfections, these do not detract from the appearance but add a flavour of originality. One of the major attractions of the boot is its restrained character: there is no ornamentation, no fancy stitching, but plain simplicity of the front which, when polished to high lustre, makes the boot perfect for wearing both with a formal navy or black suit as much as with a pair of khakis. The elegance of the boot is amplified by the tall, quite narrow shaft that follows the contour of the lower calf and vanishes high up within the trouser leg: a superb way of eliminating the wearer's fear that the hem of the latter will get stuck on the top of the shaft, which is a common occurrence with ankle-long shafts. Thee narrowness of the shaft does not impair the ease of donning the boot at all: the full length zipper is placed in a manner that facilitates pulling the boot on. Originally, I feared the shaft will be the reason for return: I had a major foot surgery recently and ended up with a fairly restricted mobility of the ankle joint. It seemed I will not be able to put my foot inside the boot. To my amazement - although with the help of a longish steel shoe horn - the foot went in without any difficulties. Once there, the boot felt like a very comfortable medical device that supports and holds the foot firmly in place, assisting in walking rather than impeding it! Thus, even under these somewhat taxing circumstances, the boots proved to be very comfortable, and a great pleasure to wear.Please, note that the boot is not meant to be used roughly. It IS a dress boot: a simple one, but also one that is very elegant even if its shape is somewhat old--fashioned (Amazon's photograph does not do it full justice). Hence, it will require both sensible use and maintenance: avoid "lumberjacking" while wearing these boots, apply high quality polish frequently (due to the high quality of leather, high gloss is quite easily attainable), and a set of cedar shoe trees ready to use after each wearing, and you will have a splendid addition to your "manly wardrobe" that will last several years.

I really wanted to love these boots. At $190 I considered them a bargain to what I saw them listed for elsewhere. Since previous reviewers said they ran large and Amazon offered free returns I went ahead and ordered two pair, a 9.5 and a 9. I normally wear a 10. When they arrived I was immediately struck by how gorgeous they were and how soft the leather was. I've owned lots of expensive boots from Allen Edmonds, Hermes, and even John Lobb. These are comparable in style to all three.Unfortunately the size 9.5 were too big. So were the size 9. I could take them off without even needing to unzip the zipper. So I went ahead and initiated a return for them both and order the 8.5. When those arrived, they were a very close fit but they were still too lose and felt like they were going to come off when I walked around. Now I had three pairs of these boots in my bedroom and REALLY wanted them to fit. So I tried to order the size 8 but inexplicably Amazon jumped the price from $190 to $430 overnight. The other sizes mostly stayed the same price. So I'm done with these boots. I am returning all three pairs I went through and will try something else.

The boot is about half a size too big. I wear an 11. I'm returning the boots for a size 10 1/2. Thanks, Bruce Rockwell

This is the exact same boots I used for the last 7years almost every day!I just had to order them again, they are fantastic!Excellent Italian made boots, great with jeans or dress pants, for any occasion, the local bar scene or a night on the town.

These shoes are awesome especially for the price! But they run way too big I usually wear a 12 but in these 10.5 does the job. Other than that the quality and construction is great. Highly recommended if you can figure the size.
