I was a bit worried when I got it because it was so bulky but it works amazingly. It feels durable and sturdy. I did need to make sure my hair was off my neck because it was more comfortable without my hair being rubbed into my neck. I was able to use it just under my skull where I get knots and up and down my neck and the tops of my shoulders.It rotates direction every minute but I wish there was a button that I could set it on one direction for the full 15 minutes. I can change the direction for one minute at a time but I don’t want to push the button 15 times to keep it going one direction.I put the low heat on and it’s plenty warm. I used this for over an hour in one use and it performed great. It helped reduce the tightness in my neck and shoulders. I’m looking forward to seeing what a week of using this massager will do for me. I have a fancy massage chair but it doesn’t help with my neck. This massager was addressing the knots in my shoulders on the lightest setting. I think I’ll have to work up to the deeper massages. It does require you to lean against something and plug into the wall. I found it comfortable sitting on my couch and leaning back with a cushion under my lower back.I am so impressed. I bought another neck massager for $150 and it did not hold a candle to this product. I am very happy with the purchase and I feel it was well worth the money.

This thing is unbelievable. It is that good. It is SO strong. It’s meant to hang on your shoulders and get your neck. but sometimes I lean back on it and it’s so nice. But do be careful where you place it because it can be very hard pressure. It also has a heater and that’s insane. Fantastic product. Worth whatever I paid. **Only issue so far is it has to stay plugged in.

MY USE CASEI'm a practitioner of trigger point therapy after years of outdoor work that led to overuse injuries & a body literally full of knotted muscles, from the small musckes im my hands & feet, to the large muscles in my back & legs.The "percussion"style devices (like "message guns") are extremely uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time as they vibrate the skin until it's sensitove & itchy.As an alternative for DIY therapy, I use this device on my:- neck- back- leg- arms- hands- feetPROS- Excellent shape of the nobs--they feel amazing when you get them in the right position- Adjustable speed- Comfortable ammount of heat for 15 minutes (I always turn this off since the nobs warm up just fine from body heat during extended use)CONS- automatically turns off every 15 minutes- automatically changes the direction of rotation every 1 minute (initially helps discover what direcrion works best on different muscles, but gets annoying fast once you know what works best for you)- It always turns on w/ the default settings, instead of the last settings you used.Gets very annoying adjusting settings everytime you're going to use it, or every 15 mins im it turns off--especially if you're like me & always use the same settings- The shape of the device is very unstable unless you:1) hold it in place manually2) rest it against a perfectly flat surfaceOtherwise the device shifts around & gets out of position due to the small profile & unusual shape of the nobs.The nobs are perfect for massaging, but they need a wider base to not destabalize the entire device- For an effective "deep tissue" massage you need consitent pressure on the trigger point that's causing you pain.For this reason, I prefer very slow rotation so the knotted muscles receive consitent pressure for at least 2-3 seconds.The slowest setting on this device passes the nob over the muscle for about 1 second.SUMMARYLove how it feels when you manage to get the settings dialed in & the device stabalized in place on the targeteduacle, but it's taken a lot of effort to McGuiver ways to hold this thing in place.So far, I've found laying flat on a thicker yoga matt or sleeping bag works great to stabalize it, but it requires:- 2 or 3 pillows that help prop you up around the device for massages on your legs or armsOR- some creative yoga posesOR- a combination of all the aboveBUY AGAIN?Assuming it lasts at least 3 years, I'd probably buy this device again only because the nobs are a divine & healing touch on my muscles when I get the thing in the right place.However, the current design is very unstable & annoying to work w/.I'd originally hoped to use this while working feom home, but the thing ia so unstable you need to dedicate time & effort to finding & holding a position even for something as basic as the neck or back massage it's designed to perform.I can only use this on my days off while watching some YT vids, or at night before sleep.However, even at night it's annoying to use since it requires so much effort to find / maintain a position in which this work effectively.

I purchased this in 2019 and it’s been used in my household anytime someone has stiff shoulders. Until 2026, it was in perfect condition with occasional use and this year was the year that the fabric over one of the roller sets tore, exposing the plastic roller balls. It hasn’t stopped us from using it! This device has kept at least one of us from seeing a chiropractor or PT and in my thoughts, it’s saved us money while targeting the problem muscles with its relentless roller massage functions which are even heated when the heat button is turned on. Because of the arm rest holes, you can position this helper wherever you need relief the most. I think my Shiatsu Neck Massager came with a car adapter but I usually forget to pack it. Even so, this device happens to be one of the best purchases I’ve made on Amazon.

For the first 2 weeks I had this, I thought it was the greatest thing ever made. A month in, its medium.For starters, its beginning to crap out. The 15 minute timer shuts it off at random length of time, including like 5 minutes into using it. The motor (?) has gotten fussy, sometimes not wanting to go at the proper speed and makes weird sounds.It also shows it being used on the back. While its excellent in position for the neck, it is incredibly frustrating to get it in a good spot anywhere on the back. Im constantly rearranging myself, rearranging the massager, both, and if I do finally get it in a good spot, it moves itself in under a minute.The massager things themselves are great- good pressure, the heat is very warm.

This massager is easily one of the best sub-$30 purchases I have made in recent memory. I used it for the first time the day I got it and instantly felt relief along my neck and shoulders. It massages for 15 mins at a time which doesn’t sound like much until you take into account it gives a pretty strong massage. So much so I woke up sore the next day. I originally thought I had slept wrong until I remembered I had used the massager and soreness is common when receiving strong or deeper tissue massages. I’ll be drinking plenty of water to assist recovery. I highly recommend this product.
