Household Essentials Single Load Hamper Cabinet Seat, White

I looked all over for a hamper/bench for my bathroom, and was surprised to find a lack of options, many of which cost way more for similar. This fit the bill, and was easy to put together. I do suggest they improve the instructions for anyone less able to understand them, as they throw most of the steps into Step 2. One thing they don't mention at all in the instructions is that the back board has two indented holes which MUST go inside - they're for holding the rods for the hamper. I made that mistake and had to partially dismantle it to fix it. The build quality is better than I expected, as the package was very light and small when I received it. Despite my misgivings, I'm very happy with my purchase, and I'm keeping the company name in mind in case I need to search for more furniture like this!

It was not easy to put together. The wooden sticks broke in half. There were no replacement parts. Currently, it is in pieces. Can I get a refund?

Check that items are not scratched before putting it together. The instructions are worthless, a couple holes were not aligned so one edge has a small gap. If you’re handy once together it looks nice. If not handy this is one to skip.

I like that it’s small enough for the bathroom and high enough to sit on. Feels very sturdy and is nice looking. The only thing about it was putting it together. The instructions were mostly illustrated and didn’t say much. If you’re mechanically inclined you could put it together without much effort, but if not. The specifications say assembly one piece, not so there are several pieces. All in all I like the product.

It is cute. A little smaller than expected but we are using it daily!

As pictured, nice looking, fair quality, but is all particle board.

I bought this for my granddaughter to sit and get ready. However, it's not very sturdy for sitting even for a 3 year old. The particle board was chipping away during assembly.

The hamper was quite difficult to assemble, several of the pre-drilled holes did not line up correctly. It took several hours to try and line pieces up correctly! The hamper is quite small, more suitable for children's laundry than adult. Yes, I researched the measurements carefully before ordering and trusted the statement of holding one load of laundry. It certainly won't hold an adult load. If I could take it apart to return it, I would do so immediately!! I totally wasted my money on this item!!!

The dowel pegs were all about 5mm too long so the boards would not fit together properly. When we tried to force one side into place (before we knew what was causing the problem) the dowel splintered the chip board and lifted the thin white laminate/paintwork on the outer face of the board. This happened on two sides before we worked out what was going on. Then we had to dismantle the whole thing, cut down the dowels, then reassemble the pieces. The punctured laminate had to be glued down, sanded and repainted. Most inconvenient! The recesses for the seat/lid had to be adjusted too, as the seat would not sit all the way down in the closed position. Overall, the quality of the construction and paintwork was much worse than I would have expected for the AUD$213 we paid. Especially since we chose this over other designs that had received bad reviews for their poor quality and workmanship.

I sent it back as it was way to small and not worth the price was very disappointing

Item came damaged

Too small to put even a 1/2 a load of laundry in. Has a seat, but I wouldn't rust it for more than a few kilos. Seat support screws wouldn't hold. Had to glue it together.,
