This "Kids' Songs" song book is filled, cover to cover, with popular songs all kids know and love. In this book you will find 3/4 and 4/4 time with quarter notes, half notes, dotted half notes, and eighth notes. There are some sharps and flats in some of the songs that make a wonderful introduction to accidentals in a way that is not frustrating. There are ties, staccato notes, and slurs, among several other dynamic marks used in these beginner songs. Some songs are in middle C position or C position, but most are a second or third off of these popular beginner hand positions. The various finger combinations really help develop the beginner's abilities and gets them out of staying in one position. This book of songs makes playing and practicing fun and would make a wonderful graduation/practice book for the early beginner who needs more practice at this level or who needs to be encouraged by their playing abilities. Review: Fun for Adults with Kids - gave this as a gift and she LOVED it! She has been playing this for her daughter and says that she and her daughter love the songs on the book!

good Series
Bought this as a summer time supplement for my daughter to practice while on break. It has eleven songs. A few of the songs she doesn't recognize but she is excited to learn the ones she does know. . Some songs are easier and some songs are just a little less challenging than regular practice books which makes it ideal for summer. Bob the Builder, Scooby Doo, Let's Go Fly a Kite, are the more popular ones.

Not really for beginners.

Book is amazing. LOVE Faber and Faber — but book arrived heavily creased and looking quite mangled. It’s not worth my time to locate a printer to print a return label — and to go through the entire process to drop it off to a shipping location. Shipping books like this in bubble mailers are a recipe for disaster as the “envelope” doesn’t protect the thin book from bends and from being rolled.
