Of all the books that I have researched and bought this book is by far the best one for a beginner guitarist. Very detailed and easy to understand. Thanks to the author.

The beginning of this book was great. I really thought I’d learn how to figure out strumming patterns. Unfortunately, I ran into attempting to read TABs before I got to strumming. All this section did was leave me more confused and frustrated than before. I’m not sure why this has to be so difficult. Also, the book has links to examples of how to play, but there is no talking with these videos, hence no explanation for what is going on or why. Trying to use this book made me want to give up completely.

If you take time to read it help you learn

This is a great book. When you're starting off you don't know, what you don't know... And this covers everything. So read it cover to cover first. There's so many gaps this filled in.Also there are YouTube videos that go along with the songs and licks... That way you can see it in the book and hear it... Makes it so much easier to reproduce it.The only downside is you may outgrow this book fairly quickly... But that's a good thing, so you can move on to more advanced books
