Works great with Harmony and ability to disable Autoswitch
After a lot of research I went for the Kinivo as an HDMI switch which was already supported by the Harmony remote system and it also the ability to disable Auto switching. This can be done by simply holding down the select button for a few seconds which changes the LED colour to green so you know it is disabled. (Nice touch). This device works flawlessly with Harmony. Only downside is the HDMI output is on the right hand side rather than out the back, which makes cable management more tricky. I am really pleased with this device though, well built and was nicely packaged.

Good item
Its a good swith but the remote needs alot of work to be done on it. I have to go really close to the device for it to work. The box itself is quite ok, no issues in the past 3 years.

Solid, very little jitter
I've only had this switch box for a week or so, but it's doing a great job so far. It feels sturdy, comes with its own power supply and is big enough to be easily handled. My old switch wasn't much cheaper but was tiny and flimsy. So far, the performance has been rock solid, great picture quality, reliable device switching (it will automatically jump to the latest device to be turned on, but once that device is off, it jumps to the next available (active device) starting with input 1. This means you can easily set the TV to come on after you watch a DVD (for example) by connecting the TV to input 1. Overall, a very good switch box. You get the very odd drop out in sound, but I've seen that on all HDMI switch boxes that I've come across and it's not so bad that it's actually a problem worth investigating.

Auto switching can work with Roku
I'm using it to switch between 2 DVR's, a Roku and a Firestick. I needed it to switch automatically (haven't even tried the remote that came with it) as I'm using it remotely. The manufacturer and some comments warn about the auto switching not working with the Roku but it's not a problem. I have the Roku and the Firestick powered from Smart Plugs that I turn on remotely and the outputs from the DVR's come on when I take them out of standby. I only ever power the Roku and Firestick up when I want to watch them anyway. So the auto switching works well. I'm using a Harmony hub to control everything. Very happy with the device so far.

Sky Q, Nintendo Switch, PS5 & 4K TV - works well
I’m only writing this as I’m sick of reading hundreds of reviews to figure out some answers. Bought the 3 port box rather than 5. This is a powered switch so takes up a wall socket so bear that in mind. You’ll also need an extra hdmi lead for the switch to TV part. Rigged up my Sky Q and kids Nintendo Switch in a 4K TV and it seems to switch flawlessly without using the remote. Gave it a go with the ps5 too and that worked as well and picked up auto switching. No picture loss and no jamming etc. Only thing I encountered when first set up is that the remote didn’t seem to work - so took battery out, and put back in and works fine, albeit the range is limited. Also encounters the occasionally switching problem if the Sky Q box goes into standby whilst using a different item but that’s a tiny inconvenience. Switching channels takes about 1 second. Made an expensive 4K tv with three ports into a six port tv now!

Would be great if it worked all the time
This HDMI switcher appears to be well made and had two features that were important to me - auto switching can be disabled and it can be controlled by a Harmony remote. My first disappointment came when I found it would not work with my Fire TV 4k stick - no picture or sound when connecting the Fire TV to the Kinivo. My second disappointment came when I found that every now and again (about once an hour) the Kinivo would cut-out, giving me a black screen for several seconds before the picture and sound came back. This is awful if you're watching live sport. On one occasion the box has crashed, giving me a screen full of white noise that was only remedied by unplugging the power. I've visited the Kinivo web site and tried the many things they suggest to fix problems (so many things that it makes you realise the device has many faults that have been reported by many buyers) but no improvement so I will be returning it.

Use it to connect my Xbox Series X, Xbox 360 PS5 and PS3 to my monitor, it recognises inputs straight away so I can easily switch. I usually put my PS5 into rest mode and that allows me to auto switch to my other inputs.

Works as advertised. The Auto switch on device power up worked flawlessly. I had to adjust the power options on my Xbox Series S to ensure it actually powers off when i turned it off (it'lld normally just go into a standby mode), meaning the switcher would stick detect it as active. Had to the same for the Switch. Only con is the Odd arrangement of the output HDMI. Input HDMI 5 and the power jack are literally on top of each other when plugged in so there's that. Overall, Highly recommend, great device

Short review (to the point) Plugged in, powered up, and my Xbox lit green for 4K60 + HDR10 instantly. Apple TV 4K looks perfect. Auto-switch works; nice that I can disable it. Solid build, proper 18 Gbps/HDCP 2.2, no handshake fuss. If you need reliable 4K60 HDR across multiple inputs, this is the box. Long review: After two failed “4K” boxes that down-negotiated my signal, the Kinivo 350BN worked the moment I plugged it in. My setup: Xbox Series X and Apple TV 4K into the 350BN → TV’s HDMI 1 (UHD/Deep Color on). Powered from the included wall adapter. Results: Xbox shows green checks for 4K 60 Hz, HDR10, 10-bit in the TV details screen. Apple TV runs UHD 4K flawlessly; with Match Dynamic Range/Frame Rate enabled, HDR content pops and menus stay clean. No flicker, no HDCP tantrums, no color banding. Why it works: Proper 18 Gbps / HDMI 2.0 bandwidth, HDCP 2.2, and an auto-switch you can toggle off if a streamer stays “awake.” The remote is simple, port LEDs are readable, and the metal chassis feels solid. It’s not a 2.1/120 Hz device—and that’s fine for a 4K60 HDR setup like mine. Tip: Keep HDMI runs short and power the switch from the wall, not a TV USB port. If your TV has a per-port “UHD/Deep Color” option, enable it. Bottom line: Zero handshake headaches and full-quality 4K60 HDR10 from both Xbox and Apple TV. This is the one I wish I bought first.

The device worked just as described for about three months - easy, simple, no problems. There was no detectable video or audio degradation, and it made stripping the audio out to send to my old-fashioned hi-fi stack a breeze. Unfortunately, after a few months the audio output stopped working - one afternoon I went to watch The Dirty Dozen and the HDMI switching still worked, but there was absolutely no audio output from either the Aux or Toslink jacks. I followed all the basic directions for trying to get it working (the usual 'perhaps the user has been an idiot' suggestions, which *do* normally tend to fix things), but nothing helped. At this point I contacted Kinivo's customer service describing my problem, and they offered to send me a replacement. And it showed up literally two days later! Keep in mind, this was well outside the return period (and I didn't attempt to request one) and they didn't have any proof that the issue was covered under warranty, but nevertheless they sent one out to me post-haste. Excellent work; I went from frustrated to relieved and they've got a satisfied customer leaving a comment - which I almost never do.
