Technical Manual for 5.56MM, M16A2, M4 and M4A1 Carbine Paperback – September 18, 2009

This manual will answer all your questions about your rifle.I have several of the commercially produced AR15/M16 booksand it looks as if they copied this manual verbatim.Save your money and buy this book first.

This Pentagon Publishing (a commercial company based in Winter Haven, Florida) softcover book is a reduced size copy of Army TM (Technical Manual) 9-1005-319-23&P (Change 5) [this is also Air Force Tech Order 11W3-5-5-42]. The text is nice and dark (very clear) but some of the drawings have not fared well as a result of the reduction in size.I would not say that this is a bad publication but you will be better off if you can find a full-size copy of Army TM 9-1005-319-23&P (as best I can tell Change 5, dated 9 April 1997, is the most up to date). Electronic copies can be found on-the-Web (though I prefer a full-sized hard-copy myself).

I like it but as other people say it does have small print. I plane on taking out pages and enlarge.
