Preggatinis™: Mixology For The Mom-To-Be Review: SUPER adorable and fun book - SUPER adorable and fun book. I bought this for one of my best friends that is newly pregnant for the first time. She would always mention that she couldn't imagine going without her glass of wine or cocktails to unwind and on the weekends. The recipes look delicious and the pictures are good. Overall, just a fun, cute, and unique gift for a newly pregnant fun "party girl" ;) Review: So much fun for a baby shower! - I first saw this book on pinterest and thought it would be a fun addition for an upcoming baby shower. I had the mom-to-be pick out a few that she thought sounded good to her. Then, I picked the one I thought I could make for a crowd of about 20. Everyone loved it and were asking for seconds! Now, we are looking through it to pick out more drinks to make for future gatherings where we will have preganent or breast-feeding moms. I liked all the fresh juices and simple ingredients used in every recipe. We used plastic martini glasses for the recipe we chose and it made it easy on the budget (so that we didn't have to buy 20 actual glasses). Problem with plastic cups though, is that you can't rim them, so keep that in mind when making these. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to plan something fun for a baby shower or even a bridal shower if the bride prefers to have non-alcholic drinks.

Fun gift idea
This was a fun gift with nice photos. I only sampled a couple cocktails, but they were fun and tasty.

Preggatinis changed my life
My girlfriend bought this book for a friend of ours so she could still have a delicious concoction even while expecting. The mom to be really enjoyed the book and made many of the drinks in there, quite delighted at her fortune. However, once the baby was born, the new mom started adding alcohol to the Preggatinis! Yes, you read that right, the delicious non-alcoholic drinks were now tainted with booze. Not only that, but around the same time my girlfriend and I broke up in what was soon to become a complete cluster-F. I know you're probably thinking it's not the book's fault, but come on now, can it all just be coincidence?! I'll still give it five stars though, because apparently those drinks were pretty good and in hindsight I realize that girlfriend of mine wasn't all that great anyway.

Good addition to bartenders' book collection
Some medicines shouldn't be taken while drinking cocktails. OR, you shouldn't drink cocktails when taking some medicines. So, if you're taking acetaminophen or valium or some such, it'd be nice to be able to make or order something other than a Shirley Temple. This book definitely is not just for the "Mom-to-be." My wife and I are 'way past that stage, but we're at that age where stuff breaks, pulls apart, or just gets sore for no known reason. Recently, while waiting for parts to heal up, we bought this book. We tried most of the recipes, skipping those requiring trips to healthfood stores for exotic ingredients - most stuff can be found at "good" grocery stores. Because I healed faster, I got to try them with the alcohol added while she stayed with the "base." Trust me (I'm too old to lie about much), she claims she wasn't jealous, and I didn't feel guilty drinking a real cocktail while she couldn't. Plus, the bartender at our favorite restaurant appreciated having some relatively simple but uncommon nonalcoholic recipes to add to her repertoire. Finally, we have some friends who don't drink alcohol very often or at all, and we've already added some of the recipes to the list of things we offer dinner guests so they aren't stuck with juices, soft drinks, colas, or ice water. If you're put off by (or too young or old to appreciate) the cutesy focus on child-bearing, well, then, don't read those parts - just focus on the recipes. And, thanks, Amazon, for quick delivery. We got to use this book during our recuperation.

Good drink ideas
Excellent choice for a mom to be, especially one that enjoys cocktails once in a while and will have to give those up. Lots of good recipes that taste delicious and are actually good for baby.

The recipes are good and incredibly appealing
The recipes are good and incredibly appealing, however unless you have a very trendy grocery/liquor store near by, you're going to have a lot of trouble getting the ingredients. Don't even think about trying to make this stuff with what you already have in stock. I have a very good stock of both liquors, bitters, and such, and fruits and vegetables and never have enough stuff on hand for a drink w/o going out to buy something.

Great product/perfect gift
It was an absolutely perfect gift for my pregnant sister in-law. I made a few drinks for her and myself and loved them. She even said one of the drinks helps with nausea actually worked. I thought the drinks were so good I might buy myself a copy, even though I'm not pregnant. Overall, can't go wrong buying this product

Bought this as a gift for my wife. She found it to be a really good book with great drinks. I would recommend buying it early in the pregnancy to make it worth while. I like the fact that recipes include a de-virginized option for dads.

Brought this for my daughter in law for a stocking filler - good little book with plenty of recipes if you want a Mock Tail
