I bought my first pair of these security lights out of concern for a problem in the Western United States: wildfires and associated electric shutoffs. We have a portable generator to power the refrigerator. However late in the year, starting and stopping the generator would happen at night. I placed one of these solar lights over where I run the generator and was immediately pleased that it illuminated that location enough that could operate the generator without fumbling with a flashlight. I was so pleased, that I bought a second pair. I installed a second light to illuminate the deck above where I run the generator. My second picture shows the illumination with both these lights running. As you can see, the ground is visible as if it was daylight. Even without electricity I could see what I was doing.I put another of these lights on a 2"x2" over a parking space where we would most likely load the car in case of an evacuation. My 3rd photo shows the installation. The last photo shows the parking space illuminated. In an emergency, this light would make a difficult situation much easier.This design is an excellent compromise of simplicity and performance. The solar panel is integral to the unit. That limits where it can be installed, but means you can install them with just a few screws. The controls are simple, but sufficient for most needs. I operate two of the units as traditional security lights with no dim illumination. Two are in the dim-bright mode, allows you to see where the lights are before the region is brightly illuminated. In either mode their is sufficient battery capacity that these light are working just as brightly just before dawn as dusk.This is a very crowded market and I've had to purchase other models where I needed to mount the solar panel separately from the light. That has made me appreciate these lights even more for their ease of installation. The first set have been running flawlessly for 5 months - so far so good on durability. I hope there will be another product run of these lights. They fill a very special niche in this market.

Purchased a new home that the walk way and five step were obscured from the street light and if porch light was not on you could not see the steps. Installed these on the soffet of the garage roof that was parallel to the walk and steps. Put one at each corner. They work just as I had hoped. As you approach either the steps or the walkway they go on and after you have passed they go off, PERFECT! They are very adjustable to fit the angles that best light the needed area and capture the sun.9/7/20I have had since 11/2019. I had an issue with one light malfunctioning a week or two after installation. Stopped working, but contacted the seller and they immediately sent a replacement. They have worked flawlessly through the winter spring summer and now soon to be fall. Just so long as you give them exposure to the direction of the sun they will be fine. I live in the Pacific Northwest and we have many a cloudy day and still no issues. When I come home and it's dark or guest come and go in the dark there is plenty of light. I do not understand bad reviews when the manufacturer or seller is willing to rectify the problem. Give a bad review only if the seller and or manufacturer treat you wrong and the product is truly junk.

These lights work pretty well and are easy to install. The listing and even the included instructions show that these have 180 degrees possible mounting angle, which is not the case. I really wanted a light that could be mounted at a complete 90 degree angle to the base, but the possible angle was only about 70 or 75 degrees out of the box due to the way the base swivel is designed. I was able to file away part of the base to get to between 80 and 85 degrees. It is not was good as I wanted but returning them would be too much of a hassle. If you need the full 180 degrees of possible mounting angles, look at other lights. That being said, the lights are pretty sturdy and easy to mount. They can also mount directly to the base without the arm if you don't need to extend them beyond the mounting point or adjust the angle. The up/down swivel of the light itself is pretty good at achieving a good angle for either a level light or to capture sunlight.

I was going to send these back as the lights just would not come on when it got dark out. What I found was my small LED light was too bright and set these off. I switched my LED light of and now these work fantastic. Very bright and I love the dual bright feature.UPDATE: Still going and work great even in the winter months.

I use this product as a motion light in the dark areas of my property and they work very well.

Put lights outside of the side of our house, working perfectly when outside with our pet dog at night ! Nice and bright and I like the 3 different settings!
