Do not waste your money, these are trash
These are garbage. They blow around in the wind, spilling the contents. Animals get into them and take out the contents, no matter where they are staked. One of them just fell apart one day. I tried many different baits, nothing worked because of the heat I couldn't keep them moist, even in the shade. To test it, I bought fly bait to put in the bottom and placed it next to a fly hatch, not one fly went in it. Stick with the disposable hanging fly traps these are a waste of money and complete garbage.

Not very practical
These are as effective as the bait that you use. The trap design itself works well. The reasons for the 3 stars are:1. It requires a full overhang to mount, unlike other traps that can be attached to a fence or wall hook, this trap needs to be mounted at least 5" away from any vertical surface, otherwise it will deform.2. Despite being made of reusable materials, it's not very practical to empty inorder to reuse. The only way to empty is through the tiny opening that traps the flys, which for me, defeats the purpose of this type of trap.

Works great, just need to keep replacing the attractant
We got these to help with hot weather flies around our trash cans. They work great. Traps a ton of flies and it's pretty easy to use. You need to keep changing out the food or whatever you use to attract flies. I empty the trap by removing the tray, then unlocking the top hook and letting it drop over a trash can. It's a bit grody, but so are flies...

Works great around a 25 x 18 pad.
So mine are placed in a triangle shape along my light strings and as long as you put the right attractant in the bowl, that mesh will fill with those buggers stopping them from flying around while youre sitting enjoying your backyard.Just don't put something that's really stinky in the bowl although it will attract the insects, you'll end up with a bad smell. I put dried bones in it and that does the trick.Check it after rain and empty if not under a cover or roof edge. Excellent for day time while the zapper works during the night. Well worth the money. Rusted out in four months
The media could not be loaded. Below is my first review, my update review is that 4 months it rusted out where you could no longer hang it. The metal being used must not be rust inhibiting. I did give it 2 stars because it is a great idea and the bugs, flies still went in.———————————————————-Does not come with instructions (-1 star)so just find a video and watch how the funnel hooks to the top, then the bowl just sits in the bottom ring on the outside which I thought was kind of funny.I put about 2 tablespoons of raw hamburger in but didn’t get any flies for the first two days till I added some water then the video shows all the flies collected in the next three days. This is going to be tough to clean (-1star)because it doesn’t come with a door you can just dump it in the garbage. You will actually have to carefully dump the bowl then drop the hanging funnel and wash the flies out through the small hole.

Save your money
I read reviews and watched videos on this product. We have a farm. I hung these inside the barn and around the outside the day they can in the mail. It’s been weeks there’s not one fly in any of them. I switched up the bait on day 3 hoping it would help.So I am back to hanging fly tape everywhere and it’s always covered within a few days.

Works great with the right bait
Works like a champ with the right bait in it. The set of 4 I purchased did not come with bait, but you can make your own or buy some. It does not make all your Flys disappear but it does make a substantial amount of difference. Location of the traps is key as well, be prepared to move them until you find the right spots.
