easy to use/pain relief ... if you are looking for your first Tens unit consider this product
Review of: innoHaus Digital Electrostimulation Tens Device, Muscle Stimulator for Pain Management & Pain Relief, for Use On Entire Body Back Shoulders Knees, Aem44After many years of talking about getting a Tens unit we, my spouse and I, took the plunge and picked the inooHaus Tens unit as our first foray into using a Tens unit. Like many of you, we wanted to try a Tens unit in an attempt to provide some pain relief for our lower and upper backs/knees after a long day of activities like walking, working in the garden, those kinds of things.Since we had been thinking about it for some time, we knew we wanted in a Tens unit.• The Tens unit had to be portable, meaning small enough to hang off a belt loop while we move around.• The Tens unit had to have multiple leads (outgoing lines) with 2-electroid pads on each line. Lower priced units can come with just one outgoing line but those type of units seem a little ‘too basic’.• The display/control on the unit needed to be straight-forward to use. Selecting a program to use and an intensity level had to make sense. We didn’t want to mess around with buttons that were multi-functional; ones that had to be pressed in combination with other buttons to work.• The Tens unit had to come with a multitude of ‘programs’ to try. Chronic pain versus Arthritis versus lower back pain, etc.• The unit had to have an intensity button, for each lead, that could easily be pressed to give a wide range between tiny stimulus to “Oh, you have to be kidding” stimulus.• The unit had to not only be battery powered, but the batteries had to last for multiple uses before needing replacement.• The contact electrodes had to be the type, called water contact electrodes, where gel didn’t need to be applied before using the device.• The contact electrodes had to be easily replaceable with ‘generic’ electrodes. Using electrodes made specifically for the one Tens unit could, over time, be more costly than the unit itself. The innoHaus Digital Electrostimulation Tens Device meets all the above criteria. After using the Tens unit for over a month now, we know that the InnoHaus was a good choice. There are 15 available ‘programs’ on this unit. After some experimentation, my spouse has discovered that program #2 “pulse width modulated” works best. Today, after a 30-minute session with electrodes on the upper, left side of the back, my spouse did feel some immediate relief. Experience shows that relief will last for a few days, but your results may vary of course.I’ve tried the unit and had less immediate relief than my spouse; but that may be a function of moving the pads around enough times to find the ‘exact spot’ were they need to be applied to optimize the effect. And the above comment is a critical point to mention. Even though this (and other) Tens unit will come with a booklet that shows drawings of were the electrodes should be placed on the body for different areas of pain relief, thatis – no – substitute for asking a professional where the electrodes should be placed. That is what I plan to do during my next Doctor visit. There are many Tens units on the market, that is clear by a quick search in Amazon. Some Tens units are less expensive, but many not give the options you want. Many Tens units are far more expensive that the inooHaus; but have bells-and-whistles you might not need. So, if you are looking for your first Tens unit to see how it could help, then consider this product.

Tens up
It took awhile for the machine to start, it kept misreading that the pads were not being used. Also I haven’t been able to easily find replacement pads. Otherwise it’s an affordable tens device for at home

Worst TENS Unit Ever.
I’ve used this TENS unit three times. All three times, I’ve awoken the next day sore and much more tense than before. I probably won’t go for a fourth. This is not the first time I’ve used TENS for pain relief. My chiropractor and my physical therapist used them on my stiff neck and trap muscles with great results. I also have another, smaller home use unit (also purchased on Amazon) that I used at home for years with no problem.I didn’t care for the interface on this unit. The buttons weren’t intuitive. I don’t recall seeing an instruction manual (beyond what was on the box) and trying to figure out what to press to select a program, or to get back to the menu, was a pain.I also wasn’t thrilled with how the pads connect to the device. They did NOT want to stay connected to the wires. And unfortunately, the adhesive stuck much better to my fingers than it did to my shoulders – where I needed the pads to stay. With my old unit I could buy replacement pads practically anywhere. I’m assuming once must go through innoHause to replace these. The unit came with what I assume is mean to be a belt clip so that you can walk around while the unit is in operation. I was not able to get the clip to stay on the device. All in all, this was a disappointment. I’m much happier with my smaller unit. It was about half the cost of this one, as well.

Unit Does Not Work.
I ordered this to relieve muscle aches to my calves and I was hoping the stimulator would ease some of the crampings. The batteries were put in. The cables were connected to the electrodes. The settings were initiated, but....NOTHING HAPPENED.I went through the instruction booklet for about an hour and even troubleshooting with the booklet, there was nothing printed to say why this unit doesn't work. You can navigate through the menu and notice different pressure points that you can place electrodes on but the unit doesn't vibrate.I can't recommend something that doesn't work.
