Excellent whistles. Very loud tones with minimal blowing effort. Quality lanyard won't break under normal use. Orange color is useful for emergencies AND to let water law enforcement officers see that you're carrying the required whistle. No moving parts, no ball etc.. so very reliable.

I read all the negative reviews, about how this whistle wasn't loud enough, after I placed the order and before receiving them. I was saddened to hear this as they're intended to be used on my kayak, and the last thing I want, in case of emergency, out in the middle of a lake, is to have a whistle no one can hear. Upon receiving them, the first thing I did, obviously, was to blow on them expecting some soft tweet to come out. I was in my bedroom, and blew as hard as I could once. Literally, it was so loud my ears rang from the decibels. I thought, yup that's certainly loud enough, lol! Then I thought, well I'm indoors, let's try them outside. One blow, and again... they're definitely loud enough. They seem well made and look like they'll last for awhile. Solid whistle... I think I keep 'em.

Whistles do exactly what there intended to do. Nice to have 2 Incase you lose one. These will stay with my boat an keep me complaint with coast guard regs. Nice little tether. All in all would recommend. There also pretty loud!

Not quite as loud as they describe, but it should get attention in an emergency. I carry it in my purse, and the bright color makes it easy to find.

Produced a sharp, high-pitched sound that carries far. Lightweight plastic with attached lanyards for easy carrying. Handy for kayaking, hiking, or kids’ safety. Verdict: Cheap but effective safety gear.

Bought a couple of these and attached to every life jacket I own. Loud, durable, easy to see/find orange, works when wet.

It’s ok. I think there are probably better ones out there, or maybe my lungs need to practice blowing harder. I wonder how far the sound carries but I hope I never need to find out in situation on the water.
