Brother MFC-J805DW XL Extended Print INKvestmentTank Color Inkjet All-in-One Printer with Mobile Device and Duplex Printing with Up to 2-Years of Ink in-Box, White

I have had this printer/scanner for five years and it has been a workhorse!! I cannot say enough good things about it. The only drawback is that it is a little bit slower than I would like. But for the quality and durability, I am not complaining. It is easy to use, the color quality is great, the ink lasts a long time, and I am able to connect wirelessly without issue.

I like the quality of this printer. Very clear printing. It did take a couple of hours to setup. My MacAir doesn’t have a slot for cd roms. Had to download the software instead. It took some time to read everything and figure it out ,but in the end great results. I like that I can send something to my printer from my phone. The ink is enormous and easy to load.

I am EXTREMELY happy with this printer. It is of a great quality build. The print quality is superb, the features that are bulit into it are vast. It is also EXTREMELY QUIET. I use the printer in a not very noisy environment but also not a super quiet office and half the time I do not realize it is still printing because I can not hear it. It has a high yeild ink capacity. And the greatest features I like about it are the automatic double sided printing as well as the direct wifi to print directly from my phone. I hope I never have to buy another printer again, but if I do, I will buy this again.

I’m giving this four stars only because it worked beautifully up to the point that I had to replace the black ink cartridge. I bought this manufactures ink so I wouldn’t run into problems with third-party products. However, after cleaning the head four times I still cannot get a nice crisp black print. It worked for a while when I change the printer setting to fine but only for a couple weeks. So, I know the head is clean and therefore must be either the slot for the ink cartridge or the ink cartridge itself. I might as well about third-party ink for the failure of theirs. Of course this all happened after the warranty expired.

I read a ton of reviews on this and what feels like a million other printers. After ordering I almost cancelled but reminded myself that all the printers have some really negative reviews. I had this set up with a USB cable because it couldn’t find my WiFi at first in about 30 mins. It prints wonderfully and quiet and fast compared to my last printer. We will see how the ink holds up but I’m sure it will be just as described. I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about. It is now hooked up wirelessly to everything and I couldn’t be happier!

When it worked, the Brother MFC-J805DW XL was a decent printer. It provided acceptable print quality and the ink cartridges lasted a reasonable amount of time. However, after three years of light use (approximately 50 print jobs), the printer began experiencing significant issues. Despite trying troubleshooting steps like replacing ink cartridges, cleaning the print head, and performing alignment procedures, the print quality remained poor. A local printer repair shop confirmed that the printer was beyond repair, citing ink leakage and an inability to produce clear prints. This was a frustrating experience, especially considering the printer was marketed as a good investment with long-lasting ink cartridges. The fact that it failed after such minimal use and careful handling is unacceptable. While the initial cost of the printer may be appealing, its lack of long-term reliability makes it a poor value. I would not recommend the Brother MFC-J805DW XL and will not be purchasing Brother printers in the future.

I do a lot of printing, the ink seems to last and last in this one. It prints pictures very well. The only advise I can give is always buy Brother Ink for it. Knock off ink makes the colors off. My only minor complaint is it does make a bit of noise when it's getting ready to print, but I'm getting use to it. Over all, it's a great value.

I had bought a similar printer for Fla. and love it. That one the ink is still full after 4 months. So bought this one for home. It replaces other printer that goes thru ink like every month that was costing me almost $60 to replace. This printer's ink doesn't cost me that total amount. And it lasts. I've used this one a month and it's still full. the printer does everything.
