Perfect fit and and is working as it should.

I bought this about a year and a half ago and just today got around to installing it. Seized right out of the box. Drove it around to see if it would loosen up. Nope. I contacted the seller. To my surprise, I received rapid, speedy and competent customer service. I received a nice email explaining what may be wrong and what to do before installing. The seller was under no obligation to send me another as the warranty was long expired, but he volunteered to send me another unsolicited. I have put the old fan clutch back in as it does work sort of okay, and I will report back when I install the second of these, but it may be a while. I can assure you this is not a seller that will leave you hanging. I also did speak to a BMW mechanic today, and he said some of these fan clutches can take quite a while to loosen up. I don't agree with him. Shouldn't take more than a day or so if you're doing some driving. 4/23/25 UPDATE: I took this one out and put the original back in for the last four years. It worked great. Car has over 200K on it. Finally the bearing ceased last week so I put this one back in and I also checked the spare the seller gave me. Neither are any good. One of them slips just tiny bit, but not enough to slip when the engine is on so it's a full blast fan all of the time. This is dangerous and way bad for gas mileage. Ordered a used BEHR and another Chinese one. If the other Chinese brand doesn't spin freely when I take it out of the box like a BEHR, then I'm sending it back. I wish these things, but it doesn't seem like to they do. Many reviewers report the same problems. These parts are extra beefy, just not working well. I even tried opening and closing the valve on the clutch manually. NO difference.

Works as it should

Started my 325i after installation of the clutch. Even with the engine cold, the clutch was locked up and the fan running at full speed. Also noticed the fan was howling a lot more than with the oem clutch. Decided to return and install an electric fan instead.
