Works if you have a calm dog!
My dog is scared of everything but for some reason she has no issues with having her teeth brushed/mouth handled! These are very sharp tools and I was disappointed when trying to use it at first because my dog didn't like the metal against her teeth. I tried again one day later she got used to it (granted she is very lazy/sleepy) and was snoozing/perfectly still when i was scraping her teeth. I was using it wrong at first - I was scraping it with the sharp side facing down. You should use it with the sharper side facing you. With very little effort/slow motions i got the plaque off her teeth that would not come up with brushing or my nail. Just move very slowly using small motions and very light pressure because these tools are sharp. You don't want to cut your dog or scrape away at their enamel. if used properly you can even get some plaque off the back of your dogs teeth!

Works great!
It really works! Just take your time with your pet, I usually just do it for a few minutes at a time as my pet's not comfortable when we clean her teeth. The brown areas (tartar) of her teeth are now gone and her breath definitely improved.

Cures bad breath
What I disliked:The scraper wasn’t sharp at all. I attempted to use it, and it really did nothing. What I liked:I love the hook shaped tool. I tried all sides of every tool and exclusively used the hook for the teeth cleaning. I found it to be the sharpest and easiest to manage. The large tartar refused to budge the first day on each attempt. You have to come back to that huge chunk the next day. I took things very easy with my boy so he didn’t hate the experience after reading other reviews. I talked sweetly and told him how good. I would only do a small portion of one side on one day, and with days in between of not cleaning his teeth. Overall, it took a couple of weeks to complete all teeth, but his terrible breath is gone! When he yawned it used to be so bad, but there is no odor to his mouth. I feel like my 9 year old boys energy also improved and he is doing things I have never seen him do, like carry a toy on a walk. I am very happy with this product, but only one tool was useful.

decent tool, but needs a case
This dog dental scaler works well for removing tartar, especially in hard-to-reach spots. It doesn’t take much pressure, and the tartar scrapes off easily. My dog’s breath improved noticeably after a few uses, and his teeth are looking much cleaner. However, I really wish it came with some kind of case or box to store the tools. Since they’re sharp, it feels unsafe to just leave them loose in a drawer. A simple protective case would make this product much better. Overall, it’s effective and saves money on vet cleanings, but storage is inconvenient.

This works so dang good!
I can't express enough how awesome this scraper truly is. I feel embarrassed that I let it get this far in the first place, but the important thing is that it's taken care of and without the huge vet bill. I recommend gently brushing your dogs teeth with pet toothpaste. Beef flavor is a good choice. Then go in with the scraper. While standing, have your dog go between your legs. Hold your dogs nose gently to the side and scrape with a little pressure starting at the gum line. You may need to go slightly under the gum line, with caution, to get the plaque and tartar off. Don't be afraid to use some pressure. Alot of the plaque came of in large chunks. Making it easier to scrape off the rest of the tartar and plaque. Have a tooth brush and treats on hand. Brush between scrapes that yield the release of plaque. Give them a treat and speak kind, be patient and most importantly you as their owner keep cool, they will sense your calmness and recognize everything is ok. I would give this product 10 stars if I could. It gets the job done, non invasive and ready to use.

They really work/easy to use/small enough to store.
I wish I knew about these 3 years agoI use to brush my babies teeth everyday but the vet said it was too much and once a week was normal and fine🤥🤔 Why did I listen? Now I did find out through research that most Yorkies are kind of predisposed to dental problems ,due to their tiny mouths and how their teeth grow in overcrowded 😪 However I was determined not to have a dog with "Doggie BREF" but I couldn't prevent it! I do also think certain brands of food also speed up the future problems with their breath and teeth as well .So now here we areMy 5 yr old yorkie is at Stage 3/ Stage 4 of Periodontal diseaseI self diagnosed her though lolWe all have that inner " Google "self taught Vet in us🤭 but Wow what a difference there tools did in removing brown spots and plaque...AMAZINGI wish I did a before and after but I am blown away..Take your time, reassure them their ok, and talk as you go, the tool that looks like a skinny micro snow scraper is the one that removes the plaque and spots...apply mild firm pressure and VoilaThere is a white pearl waiting to be unearthed..After the scraping I started using a toothpaste (VETS +BEST)ENZYMATIC TOOTHPASTE made for her gums and teeth strengthener and it has turned back a year's time and her BREF is tolerable and oral hygiene is 85% better

Works
I use this to get the tarter off of my dogs teeth, when hes not moving around like I'm trying to hurt him, its an easy process. I have a lot of experience since I am a vet tech, but I don't recommend you doing it if you dont know what you're doing. These tools are very sharp and can hurt your pet if you're not careful and the last thing you want to do is poke yourself after you've been digging in their mouth with it.
