Not effective at all. I have only tried with mosquito bites. Not for bug bites. So I can say with certainty that for mosquito bites, this product is not at all effective. It does not work!!

Got this after watching shark tank. It didn't work for me even once. And the red mark persisted for a day after using it. Waste of money and additional plastic. Don't buy.

I tried it at least 5 times on the same spot - first within a few hours of getting bit but when that didn’t seem to work and the bite kept itching and swelling then i tried again at least 4 times during the day and the next. The swelling kept increasing and the suction ring tore through the skin and led to slight bleeding around the rim. Tried it on a different bite on the other leg and same results. So not sure if this thing actually works or if it needs to be used quickly right after the bite.

This is the second one I have bought for our household. I won’t go outside without it. We are recent transplants to Florida, and these are the meanest mosquitoes I’ve ever met. Sure, the Louisiana mosquitoes are the size of hummingbirds, but they’re not real go-getters unless you’re in the swamp. These Florida mosquitoes are sociopathic. Insanely aggressive and their bites are nasty and itchy. AND THEY ARE IN OUR BACKYARD! Two days ago I was in the yard and was attacked by a gang of these creatures. They dive-bombed me from all angles and chomped down on me more or less simultaneously. Side note: At the same time I learned that “natural” bug repellent made with essential oils might work on less ambitious mosquitoes, but it didn’t work with these. I ran inside to avoid further attack and grabbed the Bug Thing. I had a huge bite on my forehead (one of 12 bites in total), and it itched like crazy. I didn’t want to do to my face what I did to my arm a few years ago, scratching like a maniac while I slept and ending up with a scarred arm and blood-stained sheets. So I busted out the Bug Thing. In my eagerness to get rid of the itching, and because the bite was big, I kept the suction going for a long time. Too long, as it turns out. I didn’t read the instructions with our first Bug Thing, because it seemed self-explanatory, but the devil’s always in the details, isn’t it? Turns out, there’s a big fat warning about not using it on your face. Who knew? (Everyone who read the instructions, but not the girl with the big purple circle on her forehead.) I regret NOTHING. This thing works amazingly well, and so what if I have a quarter-sized love bite on my forehead? Big whoop. THE BUG THING IMMEDIATELY STOPPED THE ITCHING. Bruises go away; scars from fingernails, not so much. Another word of advice: I bought several of a knock-off brand, thinking, “It’s a plastic barrel with a plunger, how hard could it be to replicate?” I guess fairly hard, because the knock-offs were flimsy and I couldn’t really get a good vacuum with them. I mean, I guess I wouldn’t have been able to suck a ridiculous bruise to the surface of my face with one of the knock-offs, but I probably wouldn’t have been able to suck the itch juice out of my skin, either. I’d much rather have a bruise than a bite. Anyway, this thing is awesome, just don’t use it on your face…or do. I would100% do it again.

I live in Northern Ontario, Canada. We have lots of bugs and they all love me not my husband. 🤣😅 I read all the reviews and decided to buy it. The 1st time I used it, it didn't work. 😞 BUT, I reread the instructions again and decided to try again. Guess what?? It worked!! It's NOT a waste of money!! This is a life saver!! REREAD THE INSTRUCTIONS if anything!!! IT DOES WORK!! Thank you!!

Para que funcione, tienes que usarlo al muy poco tiempo de que te picó el mosco. Si lo haces así, te ayuda mucho a que no se inflame y por tanto reduce la comezón. Soy una persona alérgica a las picaduras de mosco y si lo recomiendo. Lo he usado en brazos y piernas sin problema, solo ten cuidado en zonas sensibles como la cara, puede lastimarte si lo dejas mucho tiempo. Hace un par de años que lo compre y sigue en perfectas condiciones.
