when plugged in, how does it show in device manager? is it compatible with Samsung software (when a Samsung is installed (like a 970 evo)

It doesnt show up correctly on all machines, but you can use third party software to solve the problem. I mounted a 970 EVO 1TB. It showed up as a SCSI device on disk manager on my Thinkpad X1 Yoga 3rd generation. Samsung Disk migration wouldnt clone it for two reasons, it doesnt work with SCSI drives, and it wont clone the bitlocker protected original drive. AOEMI software worked great at cloning the drive onto my Thinkpad.
I also tested it on a 2015 Lenovo desktop. On this machine, it showed up correctly under disk manager, and the Samsung Disk migration software worked just fine with the 970 Evo in this enclosure.
