Thermoflow Elex 12 Tankless Water Heater Electric, 12kW at 240 Volts Instant Hot Water Heater with Self-Modulating Temperature Technology

Thermoflow Elex 12 Tankless Water Heater Electric did not ever work for us. The company even sent us a second water heater with the same results. We installed it exactly to specifications. We have very low water pressure. We have our own well. Even with ONLY a shower running, we would get some warm water for just a couple minutes and that was it. After much research, several phone calls and some emails, we were able to contact someone who tried to help. We created and sent videos documenting exactly what was happening. Finally after MUCH time spent on our part, the company agreed to reimburse us for ½ of our original purchase price. And we just gave up getting any more help after that. This product probably works in situations where you have regular water pressure but not for our situation.

Shortly after install, I got constant beeping with an E2 error code, I contacted the seller and did troubleshooting of: pulling off the front, unplugging the power from the control board, then unplugging the temp sensors, then plugging them back in, then power back in it stopped the beeping for a day, but the next day the E2 came back, so the seller sent me a new one, and so far so good!

I installed in a small apartment with two sinks and a bath/shower. The water heater heats up water fast but I did have to adjust the water flow to fewer gallons per minute so that the water would come out hot in the shower. If high water pressure is important to you this may not be the best pick.

I was out of town and my wife called to say no hot water following a utility power fail - turns out this unit needs to manually turned on after any power fail - does not automatically come back on - nowhere in the install or operating manual does it tell you this . As the unit was installed in the back of a utility closet and difficult to get to due to plumbing constraints my wife could not reset the unit. Also will not run a shower when incoming cold water is below 40f. Don't waste your time on this - replaced it with a Marey ECO product which works fine.

So far not good. Installed over the weekend - unit has power, powers up fine, buttons appear to function as intended, good water flow, but does not heat the water. I tried calling the number on the warranty card Monday morning but that number has been disconnected. The "troubleshooting" guide they provide with the unit is laughable with many spelling errors. I sent them an email this morning to see if they will respond/help at all. Stay tuned. I will update this review depending on level of support / problem resolution - stay tuned. UPDATE: They worked with me to troubleshoot the initial unit without avail and I returned it. The phone number they have listed on their "warranty card" is not in service but they responded to my initial email within a day. All troubleshooting was done via email / pictures which drew out the process a bit. They shipped me a new unit (that works). Gripes are the initial one didn't work, instructions are slim to none, phone number for support is no connected, and they want me to pay the shipping to return the old one (which they say they will reimburse once they receive it but a better business practice would be to send a UPS pre-paid return). The heater does not quite heat as much as I thought it would - will probably run a sink or two but definitely not a shower unless you are using really low flow (rated for 1.5gpm for the 12KW model).

Junk..... I installed it today in my shop so I could have a hot water spigot. Everything is plumbed with 1/2" pipe, same as the inlet and outlet on the unit, however when I turn on the water the only thing the water heater does in display "level 10". The heater element turned on one time for about 10 seconds when I first tried it out and now nothing.

Used it for a kitchen sink, which is used to wash a lot dishes and it never runs out of hot water. Easy hook up,small design, I'm going to buy another one for the bathrooms. Thanks I am very satisfied with this product

worked like it should

The hot water heater finally got installed. The hot water came out hot and then cool water follows even at quarter turn of full volume. The dial was changed from 9 to 12 without much difference. I would say if the hot water in demand is hand washing is good but definitely not recommend for shower usage.

I haven't had this heater for too long yet, however so far it works great. Display on my 12kw model is a little different than what the listing shows, but I really like that it displays the flow rate. I did have to get a 1/2" npt to 3/4" ght adapter to use a garden hose as a hookup for my purpose. Works great, no leaks and very quick temperature adjustments for warm to hot. Minimum temperature setting on my heater is 95°f. I will update if there are any issues.

product dose not have temperature range as stated Lowes set point is 95f. With normal flow 30f only increases to 80f

No hot water now for 2 months, both leaked 🤷‍♀️
