It is a great book that will give the reader a different perspective. Thy Kingdom Come on Earth as it is in Heaven. It's about getting out of the four walls of the church and into the community to give blessing to all those who are in need and help them have a happy and joyful life - knowing God is here! John

WARNING: Must read the truths of this book with an open mind and honest heart!! There is so much time and attention put on fixing or making the church rituals and programs better, that the commandment of The Kingdom of God to come here and now in earth (earthen vessels-man) has been lost and need to be rediscovered by the church. Because of it's title, I ordered this book in the Spring of 2015 and I'm so glad I did. I had been teaching the same concepts and principles in kindred spirit as Mr. McNeal for 10 years yet I had never heard of him. My students said it sounds like I had written this book. Many readers with a closed mind and selfish agenda will be turned off by the truths shared in this book.

I always appreciate Reggie McNeal's unbiased assessment of the cultural landscape. This book is another accurate and much needed evaluation of the present state of the church. I gained insight from his examination and comparison of the church of God and the Kingdom of God. Some of the material is regurgitated info from prior works and present thought. Most of it is valuable new words and ways that help identify our blind spots and see the root issues of western consumer Christian mentality. I also appreciate the many practical examples and anecdotes he includes.

If the Kingdom Came, What Would It Look Like?
In Kingdom Come, Reggie makes clear the present and future mission of The Church - the followers of Jesus: To bring the principles of the Kingdom of God, and the will and way of God, as Jesus made clear in His living and teaching, to our lives, our homes, our communities, our countries and our world. I have purchased a case of these books and am sharing them with leaders in my community. What would our communities look like if we got what Jesus told us to pray for? "Our Father, may Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in 'my community' as it is in Heaven." And how would it come? Reggie's book helps address these questions head on.

Just Maybe McNeal's Best Book Yet!
I''m a huge fan of Reggie McNeal. And this recent release may be his best. McNeal gets it when it comes to why so many churches are plateaued and declining. He has the insight and the theological depth to get to the root of the primary issues. But he doesn't leave us with the "what's wrong with the church" diagnosis. He gives insightful, practical applications for how churches can move forward and focus on the mission God planned from the beginning.

The future of the local church hangs in the balance ...
The future of the local church hangs in the balance of understanding her position not as a place to be consumed or fixed, but a place to be inspired, equipped in order to continue on mission throughout the week. There are a few key metaphors in the book that help shape the conversation about the Kingdom of God. Every leader and lay person who cares about the future of the local church should embrace key concepts in Reggie's latest work.

Not Your Average Christian Book
I found this book not just challenging and encouraging, but I actually found myself rethinking a lot of my understanding of scripture. Many things that I have long been vague on are now starting to make sense. If you you more of the same, don’t read this book!

Simply a must read
Practical, stretching, hopeful, insightful, for now, for the future, collaborative, calling for action, rethink, fired up, transforming lives and communities, calling us to really be the church and in being so we will super charge our churches in bringing hope, care, kindness, salvation, personal development and so much more. This is an equipping and inspiring challenge to Christians to be faithful, full on followers of Jesus.
