Works great for the price
Bumbling through a 1950s juke box restoration and this unit has worked flawlessly every time. The temp controls are sufficient and the had pieces are easy to hold and use. I grew up using Pace equipment but for home use I dont have Pace money.

Absolute game changer
I’ve been restoring old audio equipment for a while now and have always used a cheap solder sucker and soldering iron to remove components. I decided to pick this up and holy smokes, why in the heck didn’t I buy one years ago. No more messed up solder pads. This thing works amazing, it’s incredible, and worth every penny! Only gripe is the soldering iron plug is different than the same brand soldering station so the irons are not interchangeable, it’s stupid. Like why use a different plug when the irons are exactly the same. Anyway, still worth it even if it was twice the price I had no idea these things work sooo good.

Meh.. Good when it works..
So where to begin with this item. When it works, it's great. But owning this for less than a year I have already had to replace the gun. Luckily the gun can be purchased seperately, and it is not terribly expensive, still, the fact that they do sell the gun seperately tells me they know this thing will fail. My second gun is having issues already.. It still sucks but it seems like its getting clogged easier and easier during use.. I have to constantly clean it during use to keep the suction. And the suction is also hit or miss on this it seems. Sometimes its great and I can do a job very quickly. but there are too many times where its been subpar and I've struggled way more than I should have. I will probably buy one more gun for back up and if I run through 3 guns in less than a year.. I will be replacing this with something better.

Great product
As usual Amazon is very quick in shipping and the product works very well. I’ve already used the desoldering station and it does very good job. The package was professionally packed and shipped. I would recommend it to others.

Lasted for maybe 180 seconds - than just BROKE while OFF
Purchased this yesterday brand new. I have a 4.0 in Logic Circuits from years ago - still get confused by schematics. I don't repair electronics professionally - but do have Airframe Power Plant - and spent some years working on Commercial Jets. Not an Idiot. Working on a persons car - just to help them out... repairing an electronics board - and have over 85 pins to desolder just to be able to split the board half's and get to the defective relay. Set stuff up this morning - and the Vacuum pump would not come on... Turns out - this was because the temp setting (in Desolder) of 716 to 754 is useless. Temp must be at least 755F. Found this out doing testing - because I eventually turned it up to 840F - got the pump working... and then decreased the temp in a few increments... Got looking at some other desolder units such as Hakko - thinking to possibly purchase one. Said - lets give this another chance - and to my huge surprise - it now refuses to even Heat Up. Keep in mind - this has only been ON for like 3 minutes total. Most of thiat is time to have it heat up. If I wasn't having it heat up - or for just the 5 seconds or so - trying to get it to Desolder - it was OFF. OFF!! Now - after watching some YT vids - decided to give it another go & set the temp to 760F - and it DOES NOT Heat up. Took the tip off... looked at it; put the tip back on... Tried it again. Took the tip off again - wiped the heating element - made sure the tip was back on fine... It turns on; lets you set the Temp - and then does NOT heat up. I'm done. This is going back. Useless junk - which I hoped would be better. It did suck up my tinning solder when I finally got the pump to go on at first... but NOW - I'm done. It is plugged in (of course) and I checked the desolder plug in port, etc. It no longer works at all. If this is their quality - I don't need it.

Works well
I needed something like this for years. I have dreamed of a desoldering tool that actually works, and I now have one. It is well worth the money and it seems to be very sturdy. I’ve done a lot of desoldering with it since receiving it and it seems like it will hold up very well. I’m 100% satisfied with this desoldering tool.

Decent Unit
I am quite happy with the performance of this unit. I use the solder removal sucker regularly and find that as long as you hold the trigger until after you have pulled away from the board, so it can suck whatever solder is in the tip up into the filter, you should be fine. If you don't do this, that's when things get clogged, causing you to have to wait until cool-down and then disassemble to clean things out. The soldering iron works well also. What I WOULD like to see on each tool is the temperature display be more pessimistic, in that it shouldn't tell me it's at temperature when it really isn't, and I need to wait another minute for the temperature to really be at what the display says. I do understand that it cannot heat instantly and am willing to wait, as long as I get accuracy from the display. It would also be nice if it came with a soldering iron holder mounted, or that I can mount, to the side of the machine. In a perfect world, it would be a soldering iron sheath, made of metal, that could be mounted on the side of the case, or sit independent, per the user's preference. Same for the sucker gun, as currently it just has a independent holder.

Works well as long as you clean it after use. Before turning off make sure the heated tube is clear by using the provided tools. Also put a dab of solder on the tip before shutting it off. Once the gun cools take out the tube and clean the spring filter. It can be hard to clean and I have had to take a torch to it to remove stubborn solder build up. I like the fact that you get some spare consumables with it (like the spring filter).
