The adapter is great and works perfectly. It's very sleek and sturdy and matches the color (Space Gray)! However, be aware that if you have a hardshell case on your computer, the adapter will not fit due to the case interfering with the adapter. The adapter has to go in all the way and with a case on your computer, that will be impossible to do! I was not aware of this when I first bought it. Another thing, since you're connecting the adapter to two thunderbolts at the same time, it's a little harder to take out; you have to put some force to it. Other than that, the adapter is amazing.

I've tested every port except the mini card reader. It's driving a USB 3.0 SD drive, USB 3.0 HD, Camera card, and 27" Viewsonic Monitor via HDMI. I've also tested the monitor with a USB C to display port cable. It does all of these things while charging the Mac air. You guys have scored big time! This is an absolutely gorgeous product.At my desk, I'm using all of the ports (except one) all of the time.The LED indicator maintains a soft glow that's not too bright at night.For driving a monitor, the HDMI port seems to generate more heat than the usb c to display port connection.At maximum use, the unit is only moderately warm at best.I loved the gold mini screws at both ends. All ports work as expected. I wish it would work with Thunderbolt Display and charge at the same time. Regrettably, I can only charge OR use my Apple Thunderbolt Display

I saw this adapter on a colleague’s machine and had to have one. Great solution for connecting an external monitor and my myriad of USB devices. It’s lightweight and compact, sturdy (though I am careful not to stress it when connected to my Mac) and well made. Great solution!

This is the exact model designed for my Apple MacBook Air. Supposedly. I have had it a full year now--and have discovered that the issue I thought was my computer is this hub. It does NOT fit into the power slot on my laptop deeply enough, it sags, and therefore does NOT charge. You have to really monkey with it, shimming it up & NOT MOVING YOUR LAPTOP (yeah, right). A pain in the keister. your laptop 'dings' constantly to tell you it is falling out. It is maddening. Nothing has fixed it. How did I discover it wasn't my laptop? Changed hubs & instantly had no problem. Then, tried it with other cables, into the HDMI & the USB ports--same issue! It is junk. I cannot at all recommend it.

Works great I use it almost every time I use my Mac, only odd this it the color of the like red and green are on always but it works how it’s suppose to! I’d buy it again if mine were to break or get lost and I’d recommend anyone getting the new Macs with out USB ports to get it great product!

I found it pretty neat but, I can’t give it more than 3 stars. From first I got it, it was so cool, looked sleek and futuristic (when connected) but it wouldn’t charge my Mac 💻 when I had the lightning cable connected to get it charged. It also ain’t lasted long, when I connected a usb to it, it like it had shortage which was confusing because I didn’t needed to use USB’s often.My main problem was that I couldn’t charge my Mac while this device was plugged in.Update:It’s not something for the long run. Mine stopped working in less than a year and certain ports weren’t working.

This is the best USB-C Dongle I have used. Its design is perfect, with aluminum case, and very thin and can fit my MacBook Air perfectly. I use the HDMI ouput often in my daily job, and I can connect it to my Dell 27" 1080P monitor, and also work great with another Dell 4K monitor. The image quality is very good without any delay. The USB 3.0 provide high speed data transfer to/from my flash disk. Not used other interfaces such as SD card so often, tried once and it worked as expected. I would recommend this product to anyone who owns MacBook Air!
