Extreme, Play Safe 230, Heat Protection Treatment, For Damaged Hair, 200ml

I have used redken for over 10 years now as well as Philip Kingsley moisture extreme for 5 years, over that time redken has got me through hair dye after hair dye , after hair dye 4-6 weeks apart and heavy bleaching too. All done at reputable hair salons.. charging extra for treatments of which I always had. I noticed that the treatments they put on never really made a whole lot of difference only to my purse. Then I spotted this 2 weeks ago. I'll be honest, I bought it for the heat protection claim as I straighten at high temperatures it appealed to me instead of the spray I use I don't have confidence in, I have thick hair it didn't seem to do it. wow wow wow what great hair after 3 days. I put it on the first day as a treatment. I pumped 6 pumps and lathered it , it was Friday evening and I had the weekend off too. Saturday I did the same in the evening, Sunday I did the same instead in the morning and left it all day, I did it to my nephew's too in the morning putting 2 pumps in my hand after I'd washed his hair that morning rubbing it through his hair. he has thick curly hair and I noticed how bouncy it was when it had dried.. plus it smells beautiful. I couldn't stop touching his hair all day, to the point I got Auntie Katie stop!!! 😂. (sorry Eli and touched it again 😂) The next morning (4am) I washed it out my hair after wrapping it up in a turbie towel all day and night . it was soooo soft. I was amazed, I washed it in redken extreme shampoo and all soft conditioner, as usual, towel dried my hair and put 3 pumps in it this time, just right for my hair as it's below shoulder length and thick. I blow dried it in less than 15 minutes! wow I thought that was quick then I checked it throughout because I didn't believe it was dry and straightened it in less. I then for the first time in 15 years had a hot cuppa before work. (I thought I can get use to this!). I had compliment after compliment all day about my hair. fact of the Matter is this product has transformed my hair, from ok, to great then to magnificent, I can't wait to see it in another 3 weeks because I can't see how it can be better . I looked after my hair desperately with all the products I could before this product and never achieved the results this product has in less that a week. as time as gone on its been 3 weeks now. I have just had it bleached and have not had to go through the heartache of starting again to repair it. It's remained soft and beautiful to touch, not missed a beat. it's not course and broken and heart wrenching after all the effort of olaplex treatments, redken and Philip Kingsley. I highly recommend this product and because I love it so much. I have purchased it as gifts for friends and family and used it on my niece and nephews daily. They too have beautiful hair that's completely manageable and frizz free now. We also live in a coastal town. It's incredible. The heat protection is a genuine claim. My hair has never been so healthy. I'm thinking of going back to my dip dyed pink again because I know my hair can take it. Smells amazing, easy to pump easy to apply reduced blow drying time stays soft after straightening improves hair quality quickly when use daily. value for money. I use 4 pumps of this Redken heat protector mixed with 4 of the Garnier coconut oil, apply through damp hair and dry, finishing off using straightening irons. My long curly hair has never been more sleek and soft and stays that way until next wash. My hair condition is also the best it has been for years. Smells gorgeous too . 100% recommend trying.

Really feels like this coats the hair to give it protection. You don’t need much of this otherwise it can make hair greasy. amazing product to protect hair from heat damage.

Good product but a bit overpriced for what it is

I bought the whole Redken series after spotting it at my hairdresser, she mentioned my hair were dry after recent highlights I decided to use this as this was what she used on me, and oh dear was it worth it!, It keeps your hair protected, soft, hydrated and easy to brush/comb/style. You may think it's a bit pricey but when you consider how much you save by protecting your hair it really is worth it. Remember that no hair product will make wonders if you do not care about your health...just saying...

Not very satisfied with the result, it leaves the hair looking dirty. Is not cool.

I purchased this because my hair is damaged from excessive heat with styling tools and also I have bleached highlighted hair. A little goes a long way, it smells really nice too. I would reccomend this product because my hair is in great condition since using it.

Been using for a little while now and I have noticed last dead ends at the bottom of my hair which I had a huge problem with. Worth the money My hair feel a lot better and it doesn’t make your hair greasy either.

I’ve been using Extreme Play Safe for year to protect my hair from excessive heat. Doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy or heavy. Does its job well. I just apply it from the palm of my hands to areas that I will use a straightener on. Super easy to use. Keeps my hair from losing moisture and protects from too much heat.
