Lets you vacuum out your lines prior to refilling.
Really are necessary to purge out all the air from the lines. These work well with standard consumer grade manifold sets out there. No problem holding vacuum.

Only One Fit , The Others all Wrong
Do not buy this product. The size of the connectors is all wrong and too big. Do not waste your money. Only one in the pack was the right size.

Not fabulous. Not for daily use.
The rubber seals are junk, buy good ones. The hoses are decent but fittings needed to be properly tightened. The valves are a bit loose as well.

Necessary tool for the kit
Gohantee is not a widely known brand, but makes a number of different parts in HVAC tools. When first starting out, I bought a number of different tools and adapters. The Gohantee products are not the best quality, and you need to put a little more care into making them not leak, they are good to have in the tool kit. You can see they are a little bit larger when compared to others, but the handle is easier to use. For the price, I'd keep it in the kit and maybe replace the washer to a better quality as you need to put some extra force when screwing it on to prevent it from leaking. I prefer core depressors, but shutoff valves are useful for inline use. I would consider them inline after the core depressor.

Not amazing
They work, just. The valve core depressor is not long enough and the plastic outer "seal" is too hard, preventing it from depressing correctly. Some modifications are needed for them to work.
