Squalane Cleanser, Facial Cleansing Balm and Hydrating Makeup Remover

I have combination skin. So I was somewhat hesitant to purchase this. However, I am 60 years old now and I didn't want to use products that made my skin feel tight anymore. I can't emphasize enough how amazing this squalane cleanser is! First of all a little goes a very long way! It feels amazing as you massage it on your skin. Second...I have never had a facial cleanser rinse off as awesome as this does! It really shocked me! Third....it does not make my skin oily. My face is so very soft and clean I was amazed! I am very bad about sticking with something. I always tell myself there has to be something better out there. I can absolutely promise I have found the best with this product! I will not be switching again! I am confident in saying if you try this you will not be disappointed!

Okay, I bought this on a whim. I have pretty severe sebaceous hyperplasia. I have had chemical peels. I’ve had them burned off, frozen, I’ve used topical retin A from my dermatologist. It always rages back. I saw a review say this stuff shrinks them and makes them much less visible. I was put off by the price, but let’s face it, I’ve dropped a lot more than this.My first wash, I did not use anything to remove my make up. I wanted to see if this got rid of it by what was left when I used my toner. Initially, I thought this stuff would be greasy. IT IS NOT! It COMPLETELY MELTED MY MAKE UP AWAY! I have used it daily for about two weeks. It is unlike anything I have ever used. It leaves my face clean, but not dry. It isn’t oily either, like some make up removers that then require soap and water. I have purchased most of the face cleaners in Ulta. I have never, in my oily 57 years, used anything like this. The price point is amazing considering what it does. It even removed my waterproof mascara???? I don’t know what is in this, and frankly I do not care. It’s hot where I live, and my SH is not growing. My skin feels clean. It’s not dry. It’s not greasy. I write reviews only occasionally, but I want others who have struggled with oily skin issues for years to know there’s something out there for us. I can’t speak to dry skin, but it feels extremely gentle. Am I rid of my excess oil completely? No, but I have other solutions in my toolbox for that. I will do without other things to buy this again and again. I love other products from The Ordinary, but THIS one is the Holy Grail. I still have bumps from SH. However, they are almost flat, and much less noticeable. For my fellow sufferers out there, this helped me. They’re no longer the first thing I see when I look in the mirror. I don’t feel like people see them and wonder what the heck is on my face. Many thanks to The Ordinary for a decently priced, effective product that does what it says.

I've been really happy with this squalane cleanser as a makeup-removing balm. It does a great job breaking down makeup and sunscreen without needing a lot of product or excessive rubbing. Everything melts away pretty easily, which makes taking off my makeup at the end of the day much less of a chore. One thing I especially like is using it in the shower. It's convenient to apply, rinse off, and continue the rest of my skincare routine all in one place. For an even deeper cleanse, I like to follow it up with The Ordinary Glucoside Foaming Cleanser. The combination works really well for me and helps ensure that all of my makeup is completely removed. Another plus is that it doesn't irritate my skin at all. My skin feels clean and comfortable afterward rather than stripped or tight. It also has a very neutral scent, which I appreciate since I don't enjoy heavily fragranced skincare products. Overall, this is a simple but effective cleansing balm that does exactly what I need it to do. If you're looking for a gentle makeup remover that gets the job done without irritating your skin, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try!

I would have given it 5 stars had the bottle not been HALF FREAKING FULL! RIDICULOUS! IT's already so small! You may get 15 MAX washes out of this! So the price really isn't great at all! But GOLLY DOES IT WORK! It's so weird! I have been looking for a replacement to the OLD FORMULA of Cetaphil (Gentle) Cleanser. (The new one is GOD AWFUL!) This just MAY be it? The only thing I don't like is hpw shiny my face is afterward... SO I'm still looking. But this is good stuff! I would like to have something where I don't have to put ANY facial makeup on afterward! The old Cetpahil used to make my skin GLOW/RADIANT/TONED/ETC.! The new one makes my blotchy and red! THE GENTLE ONE! This stuff definitely makes my glow, but too shiny.

This was a restock item for me. I love this squalane cleanser!! It’s gentle and does not leave a weird slimy residue. I use it to remove my makeup or on days where I just feel like I need an extra deep clean. Very cost effective!

By far my favorite cleanser. I have extremely sensitive and acne prone skin and switching to this cleanser made a huge difference! It’s ver lightweight, the packaging is flawless ( no leaks or spills). I buy it on repeat!

Love all your products but the tubeend arrived with a corner open and the moisturizer spilling out...I was disappointed and afraid to use it...because I did not know if it was tampered with...

I tend to work this into my face until it gets almost oil like then remove with a warm, wet flannel. It does a brilliant job removing every trace of make up whilst leaving my skin really soft. My skin is eczema prone and very reactive but this is a product I trust and buy on repeat.

First of all, this has an oily texture so if you have acne or prone to spots you may want to check it with your skin doctor first. In my experience I can say that I absolutely love this product and it does clean and prepares my skin very well for the serum/cream after.

This cleanser is water-based and made with vegan squalene. It is easy to apply and rinses is off without leaving residue. It is creamy and feels luxurious when applying to the face and neck. It does not have any perfume smell but it does have a unique smell due to the squalene.
