AMPCOM RJ45 Ethernet Crimping Tool, 8P / 6P-RJ11, RJ12 Ratchet Crimper Cutter Stripper Blue

Needed to crimp some RJ11 connectors onto sole Cat5e ethernet cable to improve the awful ASDL cable that came with the router. Not completely sure how all the other bits on the tool work, but the RJ11 6P4C crimper itself did exactly what I needed.

I bought this as during full house renovation I decided to put CAT6 sockets in every single room. I done about 30 cables with it and it does the job very well. It feels sturdy and good quality, so I can definitely recommend it.

These are a great set of pliers but they have a locking mechanism which is a bit annoying because sometimes it gets stuck. Would definitely recommend them though.

Great value for money, looks identical to Knipex I already have. The Knipex's handle worn over the years hence bought this.

Researched and considered alternatives before settling for this product. This is a quality well made tool which proved totally reliable. This was my first time making custom network cables using exterior grade CAT5e. This tool cuts and strips the outer sheaf of the cable with ease and fixes the RJ45 connectors first time, every time. Only slight negative is the exposed blades which could easily cause injury - just a little extra care needed here.

Used to crimp RJ45 on Cat 5e and Cat 6 cable. First time ever that I had to make my own Ethernet cable. Easy to use. Solid manufacturing.

Excellent product, will be buying some of these for my team at work. Note to anyone buying.... the cutting blades are extremely sharp. Don’t believe me? Ask my ring finger -_-

Firstly the information suggests that the crimping tool can be used to strip the cable. It can with great care, however additional photos show that the additional yellow supplied tool is used instead - why is this supplied? Secondly the photos show that the tool can be used to trim the wires prior to feeding into the socket. It cannot be used in this way as the two blades do not meet. It can be done by using the blade on the opposite side. Finally I showed this to a engineer who thought it rather odd as a crimping tool.

As a kind of tool, i dont like to use it., it never gives me a better result after crimping. When testing, always fail. Several workout and its a hopeless. So i buy a cheaper one, and surprisingly, way way better than this.

Works well and feels solid in the hand. The ratcheting mechanism is smooth, the cutter and stripper are useful, and it crimps RJ45 connectors cleanly without much effort. I have had no issues with bad crimps so far. Simple tool, does the job properly, and feels like good value.

Da usare saltuariamente immagino che in un uso intenso non vada bene. Ho crimpato alcuni RJ45, son venuti benissimo, per altro erano pass through, mentre questa è per quelli tradizionali (non taglia quanto fuoriesce. Tagliando accuratamente il cavo il crimpaggio va alla grande.
