I have been using an old hand me down goose down pillow and alternating that and two different target or Walmart pillows... And it was definitely time to invest in one decent new pillow. I have terrible sinuses and tend to sleep on my stomach or side, because I have a harder time breathing (deviated septum / allergies / minor apnea) lying on my back. Doing research on side sleeper pillows, which was new concept to me, I stumbles upon the honeydew side sleeper pillow. The cooling factors, customizable aspect and unique shape appealed to me. Never having tried such a side sleeper shaped pillow before, I placed my order. Following the unboxing instructions, I tried it out. Found the pillow extremely soft and supportive, and yet no where near as firm as my mom's memory foam pillows, which was ideal for me. The foam pillows are too hard for my tastes. The first nights sleep ended up making my neck ache the next morning. I was initially disappointed, but determined to try it out for at least a week to make a more accurate decision. The second night of sleep was deep and I awoke with no nekc issues. I believe there is a bit of adjustment with this pillow for some users. I did end up ordering some more fill for my pillow because it was a bit too soft and squishy for my head and neck. Adding more fill really helped. My neck needs support and I need to be able to breathe while lying on my side, and that did the trick for me! I am extremely satisfied with this pillow and the customer service. The only downside is that this pillow does not come with a pillowcase. The custom pillowcases are separate and seem a bit expensive. I may choose to get those in the future of they hold up well after multiple washings. For now I'm just using my standard queen size pillowcases and that works fine. It would be nice to not have the standard pillowcase slide off the end of my pillow, but since I didn't spring for the honeydew custom pillowcases, well, I guess I can't really complain about that. Really excellent pillow for my needs. I sleep really well and my shoulder no longer goes numb from supporting my head now that I've found honeydew. If your issues sound similar to my own, give the honeydew side sleeper pillow a shot and see for yourself! Im gonna get my insomniac, super hard to please mother one of these for Christmas this year. I'm sure she'll love it, and she complains about everything lol. I'm THAT confident she will find the honeydew pillow satisfying. Lol. I can't say enough about this pillow...it really was the answer for me. Every night when I go to sleep now I think, "I've got to write a review about this amazing pillow!" So here I am. And I NEVER write reviews. I couldn't possibly be happier with it. But interestingly enough, it took a little time for me to be a true convert. Allow me to explain: I had chronic neck and shoulder pain for many many years...could not get rid of it. To date, I'm finally pain free. Did this pillow cure my pain all by itself? No, of course not. There are no miracle cures for a pain issue such as this. I had to come at my pain problem from multiple angles. Was this pillow a key component in curing my pain? A resounding YES! One thing I didn't understand about neck pain was how much your pillow can contribute to or even cause the problem. I thought my old, flat pillow was good when it was actually a major cause of my pain. Since I'm petite (5'1") and have a small neck, I thought I needed a flat pillow so as to not strain my neck. But since my neck hurt all the time, I tried many others--My Pillow, Pacific Coast Down Pillow, a standard contoured memory foam among them. I returned them all. And when I first tried this pillow I wasn't sold because since I'm small, I thought I needed to take out a lot of fill and make it flatter. But once flattened, it wasn't doing the trick. I put it on the shelf for a while, then eventually decided to give it another try. This time I left half the fill in. Hallelujah! I'm now totally in LOVE with this pillow. For me, at half capacity it is unbelievably comfortable - remember, I’m small. The pillow's special fill is a great improvement over memory foam. The croissant shape makes you feel like you're getting a hug...VERY cozy. And as a side/stomach sleeper...this is key...I love that the special shape does not require me to fit my shoulder under the pillow, which, along with a pillow that was too flat, had been undermining correct body alignment. It even feels great when I'm sleeping on my back; if I place my shoulders on the base of the pillow, instead of completely off the pillow with just my neck on, it creates more effective alignment. In case you've had neck/shoulder pain for many years, have read this far, and want to know the other non-pillow-related secrets of my success, here they are (some of them are for females only): -Working with an effective physical therapist (not a dime a dozen) to help improve posture and to learn manual self-soothing techniques for when you're getting tense -Wearing more comfortable, wide-strapped, wire-free bras the majority of the time, and always when in the house -Downgrading from a big, shoulder-carried purse to a much smaller, cross-body bag That's all folks. Best of luck in getting pain-free. Definitely buy this pillow first!

The one complaint I have about this pillow is that I DO NOT want to get out of bed anymore! For over a year I have been having some intense shoulder and neck pain. After many workout and chiropractor adjustments, I realized the pain was surrounding my sleep, more specifically, my pillow. I saw the cost of these pillows and decided to could deal with the pain. A year goes by and I cant deal any more, I am loosing sleep and in pain. I went back and and saw the many reviews and few complaints about the honeydew sleep pillow and decided the risk was worth the reward. One of the complains I saw was that the pillow smelled "chemical" upon arrival, this was not the case with mine. It smelled like a standard new pillow out of the packaging. And since we are talking about packing when I opened the box, I was instantly smiling. They had clever and cute instructions for preparing for your best sleep and a handwritten letter from the family business. I let my pillow air out as instructed, but was concerned about sleeping on it without a pillowcase (must buy separately). Although I intend to buy a specific pillow case for my new found love, a standard pillow case does suffice if you dont want to spend the extra $30. The pillow was so soft that my husband tried to steal it for the maiden voyage, but reluctantly gave back to me. I instantly loved the way it wraps under my chin and all the way around my neck to my back. Basically a side sleeper hug. The first night I slept hard, it was almost embarrassing. I thought, well maybe it was too good to be true. Wrong, all the nights since then I have been sleeping great and not waking up in pain. I am so pleased with this pillow and I am so glad I looked past the cost and purchased it! We might be buying another since my husband has discovered the level of rest I am getting from my honeydew!

So when I got this pillow 2 years ago, it was half the price it is now and I still felt a little underwhelmed (sticker shock). However, I have to confess that I love it more than all the other pillows I’ve purchased. The fabric and stuffing are luxuriously soft. One thing to note though is that it isn’t made of memory foam so it can get dust mites if you have allergies. The insides are not something you could wash and it would probably make a mess if you tried to take them out and wash the case. The specially fitted pillow case isn’t worth the extra money because it’s super thin and white and got a hole at the seam from washing. It’s stained after 2 years so I always just put a king size pillow case over the pillow and that works just as well as the specially fitted one. Another thing to mention since I struggle with finding pillows that work for both side sleeping and back sleeping- I took a lot of the stuffing out of my pillow (and saved it for later) so it’s thin enough for back sleeping and then when I roll onto my side, I squish it into position so it gives enough support that way. For my neck, this seems to be working better than the memory foam side sleeper pillows that don’t allow me to comfortably roll onto my back.

Finally, the perfect pillow! I’ve tried many pillows in search of one that gives great support without being too firm or soft, one that remains comfortable over time and one that doesn’t hold body heat. This pillow checks all the boxes to perfection. It’s amazing how it maintains a comfortable temperature, which was an important criteria for me as I sleep hot. I’ve been sleeping on it nightly for several months and am enjoying the restful sleep it provides. I recommend it highly...it’s worth every penny! Be sure to order the bamboo pillowcase, which is equally wonderful and designed to fit the unique pillow shape. The bamboo is soft and feels good. It launders well too. P. S. I did order the extra filling to customize the pillow to my desired level of firmness. I found it wasn’t quite firm enough without adding filling. It’s great having the ability to customize. When adding filling I noted how well constructed the pillow is, with a hidden zipper and even an attached piece of fabric inside to help hold in the filling. Whoever designed this pillow really devoted care and attention to detail.

UPDATE to previous review -- although this is a nice pillow, it did NOT do what it advertised, reduce neck and back pain. It is very comfortable, but I have at least a dozen other "comfortable" pillows that I didn't spend $100 on. The company itself is a pleasure to deal with and they treat their customers with respect and courtesy. No problem with that at all. The pillow is just not that good for the price. Had to wait longer than expected (thanks Amazon-always-delayed shipping - why am I paying for Prime??). The pillow arrived well-packaged (good thing, bc the box was soaked from being in the rain). Found a small tear when I opened it, but nothing that would interfere with its use. Notified the company and they responded back almost immediately with apology and offer to ship a new one right away. So far I am 5 days in with it and do not see or feel any difference. Head/neck/shoulder pain still there, but I want to give it time to see if it will change within the return/warranty. It is a comfy pillow, but I have plenty of other comfy pillows; I spent $100 on this based on guarantee. Anyway, company is super to deal with! Jury's still out on the pillow......

I bought this pillow in 2023. I highly recommend this pillow, even still after 3 years of use. It helps me sleep on my side. I get back pain with any other kind of pillow. I used to wake up many times throughout the night and needed to fluff up my pillows and turn them over. Now, it's enough to fluff it before I go to sleep and maximum one other time before morning, although for the first 2 years, I never needed to fluff it in middle of the night. I recommend this pillow to everyone

At first, this was the best pillow ever. I am a side sleeper with significant neck & shoulder pain. It felt soft, like diving into comfort. However, My neck pain persisted but I wanted to give the pillow a fair shot. 1 year later my neck is in more pain than ever. Here is what I discovered. Every morning when I would get up. The fill would settle to the back of the pillow above my head. Side profile view was of the wedge shape. No matter how much fill I tried to remove, the area my neck settles into would be lower profile than the back of the pillow above my head come morning. So basically this pillow has been pushing my head up into an unnatural position leaving my neck stuck and causing an increase in neck pain over a period of time. I have spent a lot of money on pillows. I plan to take this pillow to my seamstress to see if she can fix the problem. If not, I will have no other choice than to immediately and permanently discontinue use of this pillow. I am very disappointed. I believe this pillow has a design flaw. One additional note about this pillow. My neck is sweaty when I get up every morning. I hope others have a better experience than I did.

I've been trying to find a pillow I like (side and back sleeper), for forever. Finally, I found one. At first I thought it might need more filling for my liking, but a couple of weeks later, I sleep great on it every night, and I think it's good with the amount of filling it came with. I'm not sure if months from now the filling will compress and I may need to request more filling? Hopefully, if that ends up being the case, the customer service will be all that they say it is, and they'll send me more filling without question. One thing I like about this pillow is that I don't have to flip or fluff or adjust it during the night - it works to lay my head on any part of it, as I roll over into different positions and from side to side. It's expensive, but after wasting so much money on cheaper pillows that I ended up hating, this feels worth it. I appreciate that the company is small and family-owned, that it's made in North America, that the materials are safe and non-toxic. I want my husband to try it for a night, to see if he wants one too, but honestly, I can't imagine giving it up for even one night, and going back to my bad pillows.

The honeydew scrumptious side sleeper is a great pillow. My neck was getting pretty stiff as a collateral result of shoulder issues so I was really looking for a pillow to accommodate my shoulder pain. I wasn’t convinced for a couple of nights but I stuck with it and am happy I did. I’ve been sleeping very well and waking up pain-free. I’ve recommended it to a couple of friends - it’s an expensive pillow at first glance but well worth the money. I find myself thinking about how comfy it is long before bed time. I had been struggling with neck and shoulder pain for years and had tried numerous pillows (including bamboo and memory foam) before I finally decided to invest in a high quality pillow, hoping I could save some money on massages and physiotherapy if I did. This pillow is amazing! It is the perfect height and shape to support my neck while I sleep, and it is so soft—feels like sleeping on a cloud. My neck issues haven’t completely gone away, but they have improved by at least 80%. I almost never wake up with a sore neck and headache anymore, compared to almost every day before. The pillow also arrived way before the expected delivery date and had a handwritten note of thanks from the seller inside. I like that this is a family run business, too. 10/10 recommend for side sleepers struggling with neck and shoulder discomfort!

I've never owned a better pillow. I used to sleep 1-1.5 hours before I woke up with shoulder or neck pain. With this pillow, I haven't woken up due to neck or shoulder pain, and I actually slept 12 hours for the first time in about 8 years. The bonus is that this isn't a huge company that's making this. You get a hand written thank you with your purchase. This pillow is totally worth the money.
