is it enough light for live plants that require a medium amount of light for my 20 gallon long tank?

I'm confused...it says it's 30" in the title but scrolling down to the "product demensions it says "5 x 2 x 4 inches ; 1 pounds"????

I just took it out of the package and measured it. The hood itself is 29.25 inches by 11.5 inches. It fits perfectly on my 37 gallon aquarium.

how wide is the filter opening and do they have a cutout for heater?

The filter opening is approximately 6.5 in by 2.5 and the heater cutout is 1.25" x .50.
