It made digging so much faster and easier, and it saved me a lot of back pain.I put my drill through the ringer using this, and it held up great. This worked so well that I ended up buying another one in a larger size.If you do any gardening or landscaping, this is a must-have tool. It saves time, reduces the effort needed, and makes digging holes much easier. Definitely one of the better purchases I’ve made.

This thing just works.... Using an 18volt dewalt drill, it punches a 12 inch deep hole in every soil I've tried it with.... takes about 6 seconds.. and bonus! It powders the soil when it digs, which makes mixing the soil and filling in around the plant super easy. Not a lot of tools impress me much, but this one does.. I wasn't expecting that. We pop a 12 inch deep hole in the ground, fill with a bit of compost, then a dead fish, then more soil, then the plant goes on top and we fill it in.

Works well in soft ground but the shaft will bend easily if you hit a rock or root when drilling. It just bends enough to introduce a wobble while drilling. If you hit another root while drilling it might straighten back out.

I purchased this auger drill bit to help loosen the soil and dig holes for new plants in our front yard, and it worked extremely well. Our soil can be pretty compact, but this attachment made the job much faster and easier than digging everything by hand.It attached easily to our drill, cut through the soil effectively, and saved us a lot of time and effort. We were able to plant multiple flowers and shrubs with much less strain on our backs and hands.If you’re doing any gardening, landscaping, or planting projects, I definitely recommend this auger bit. I just recently purchased three gardening tools that I highly highly recommend. SIXCAR WEED REMOVER, TCBWFY Auger Drill Bit, and most impressed with the work pro cordless grease , sheer and shrubbery trimmer.As I’m getting older and love my gardening and do not want to give it up. I find these toos has been the best thing ever it does exactly what is expected without straining without bending too much and definitely without hard pulling. I wood recommend them all. Not too expensive and does the work for you!

Upon making a hole, I wasn’t able to pull auger back out so I rotated in reverse and it came apart leaving the end piece stuck deep in the ground. Got the job done but was a hassle when it would come apart. Wasted some time digging the auger end out of a deep skinny hole after it came apart. Something frustrating but I believe I got what I paid for.

Works really well for putting in mole spikes. Saved on digging.

I used the auger with my 3/8” cordless drill for loosening soil to help dig holes for planting shrubs. It worked very well. My soil was hard packed and hard to get into with a shovel. After using the auger I was able to dig holes easily, with no problems at all. Just be careful - if the auger hits a root or rock the drill could twist and wrench your wrist. The auger is holding up well after moderate use. I’m happy that I bought this smallest size rather than one of the larger ones.

The auger was supplied without the drill. It is just like a piece of rod without the drill. In the picture there is a drill attached to the augur . But in the user manual they are suggesting to use electric drills. Amazon should refrain from advertising such vendors.

too lengthy not surdy, wobbles a lot

Bought this to help loosen up the soil around my rhubarb. I worked like a charm. I used my cordless drill and it easily went down into the compacted soil and with the drill in reverse it easily came back out. I have also used this to loosen up the soil which helped greatly in digging a hole. The metal is sturdy and it seems to be constructed well.

I used it to drill 12'" deep holes (7 in total) to install 1 inch diameter bamboo poles for a temporary wire mesh fence separating our yard. (We'll keep pets on one side of the yard while spraying herbicides on the other side).Half of the holes were drilled very quickly. For normal soil found in backyard, it took about a minute to drill to a depth of 12" with a 3/8 electric corded drill.When drilling in the clay area, mixed with a fair bit of small rocks (1/2" size), there was some wear observed at the leading edge of the spiral. On several occasions, the electric drill stalled because the bit probably hit larger rocks underneath and could not move on. I think I had also chipped a portion of the leading edge of the bit in one of these cases. It was understood that I was using the bit as a construction tool instead of a garden tool! The electrical drill was quite hot to touch too, indicating lots of power being transferred to the drilling bit. Yet it survived breakage, just some wear observed at the leading spiral edge.I would recommend this tool because the drilling work (for planting, for example) can be done very quickly. Just remember to ease off on drill speed if hitting rocks.
