I chose this album because I wanted the song "Sweater Weather," and the cost of the album was so reasonable, I thought I'd give it a whirl. I was enthusiastically un-disappointed! It turns out that The Neighborhood as made a few popular songs that I like and didn't realize where by them. But the reason for my five-star rating is really that this album is exceptional.Only twice have I ever listened to an album and found no clunkers in the bunch. "I Love You" is the third. I don't presume to be a music critic, but I know when I hear fantastic music, and this is it. No kidding, I will find myself listening to this album and sort of zoning out and wondering how they composed something so complex that sounds so unique and is not only good, but almost hypnotic. I think it's got something to do with the strong base line, the really great vocals and the way this music seems to bridge Euro-pop, r&b and house music. The way the songs are sung (like the cadence of the singer[s]) is so different. It's got a rhythmic quality that reminds me faintly of Phoenix. The delivery is excellent.This album is great. It's something I'd recommend to anyone with a great sound-system. This is great music for a house party, a Friday night out-with-friends thing, or just riding in the car.I think you'll especially like this album if you like any music by The Neighborhood. This is for people who like r&b, pop/rock, European pop/rap, dance music and people who either make music or take their listening seriously.

Indie...check!Great songs...check!Great music...check!Feel-good feeling...check!I purchased this CD -- it's been so long since I've done that, thanks to downloading individual songs from iTunes or Amazon -- and I do not regret it. The whole CD is really good. My favorite song of course is "Sweater Weather," which has been my ringtone since March. First heard their music, or that particular song, on Pandora and fell in love. Their music is feel-good. Makes you wanna drive down a road on a clear day in your car with a couple of friends with The Neighborhood's songs as the soundtrack. Much like the music video for "Sweater Weather" and their promos for the album.The Neighbourhood's sound is casual, yet relaxing from lead singer Jesse Rutherford's vocals. Their style is cool too, very California-esque. Also, their music videos are all black & white and the band, itself, give off that '50s style from clothes to hair.Their music is like a blend of Alternative with R&B flair and Rock. Songs like "Let It Go" and "W.D.Y.W.F.M?" are reminiscent of a bit of hip-hop and R&B.11 songs total and worth it. Can play it on repeat. Great album, "I Love You," I love it.

My first experience with The Neighbourhood was last summer when I heard "Female Robbery" on the radio. I was hooked on the song and asked my friend if he heard of the band and the song. He was impressed and I was hopeful that I wasn't listening to a one-hit-wonder.Come this year, I found Neighbourhood's other singles and was not disappointed. What sealed the deal was "Sweater Weather"; God, this song gets me hot and bothered! I couldn't wait for this album's release and once I received it, I always find a reason to listen to it. There is something for everyone on each track and nothing is the same.My favorite song is "Flawless", hence the title. The arrangement conveys such emotion of what an insatiable love affair sounds like. Second: "Alleyways" which tells the story of a troubled adult (undertones of an addict) reminiscing about the carefree days of being a kid. It's a deeply emotional, powerful track that anyone can relate to.The Neighbourhood has such an original sound that I can see being around for a very long time.

My daughter wanted this because she likes the Neighborhood. Came in nice packaging and she loved it. I can't quite figure out why we have regressed to vinyl, but hey if you want your music in lower fidelity have at. I mean why stream music on a smart phone or iPod when you can jsut break out the old record player. Next year I will probably have to get this for her as an 8 track. If you like vinyl and the neighborhood this is for you.
