Great Value! Just add beer

Easy to set up, I experimented with different things to put in the attached bowl to attract flies. I settled on Lone Star Beer, and within 48 hours I literally have hundreds of flies in each of my traps. Great buy!

Flies Check in but they don't check out

In 1.5 months 3 out of 4 fly traps are almost full. I have them hanging over the garden, rhubarb patch and the garlic/mint plants where the flies seem to hang out. I bated them with a 1/4 of an apple then I bought the powdered fly attractant. Bees will enter the trap but they are smart enough to walk out, the flies aren't so smart. I've also caught a large amount of garden moths.

Works for my little farm

I caught my first flies while hanging it up and putting the bait in. I use fresh dog poop off of the lawn in mine. I also line the bowl with a paper bowl so it doesnt get so gross and easy to trade out bait.

Seems to work great with the right setup

Definitely works! Caught all those flies in the pic in less than a day. Followed other commenter's suggestion of using beer as the bait. I do want to mention that location may be a factor, or possibly bait distribution. I see people have commented that they caught no flies; I have two of these about 30 ft apart in my chicken run, in a few hours one caught more than 10 but the other caught 0. So it could be location. BUT, when pouring the beer into the successful trap I actually spilled quite a bit onto the top (tried pouring through, didn't work) which may have attracted more flies... Going to do some more testing but I am quite sure that either moving the second trap or pouring some beer on it will give me the great results I am having with the first trap.***EDIT*** Posted a second picture, the second trap is working perfect after moving location and varying the bait disbursement. After trap is setup simply pour some beer through the top, it spreads out and also goes into bait dish. Maybe throw any other little fly treasures into the dish too (chicken poo or something if outside, maybe a tiny piece of fruit if inside...)

Use with trash can! Much better results!

We catch a lot more flies when used with trash can. My guess is the flies are attracted to the bait and when leaving, are attracted to light. The walls of the trash can block light, encouraging the flies to climb into the trap.Without the trash can, we would see many flies leave the bait sideways and not enter the trap. Also the trash can helps to prevent kids/dogs/whatever, from bumping the bait.

This Fly Trap Works!

The media could not be loaded.  Very simple to use. Very effective. Glad I bought several for our chicken yard! I added dry cat food to the tray, then filled the tray with water. The more awful the smell, the better it works, so don't put in an area you intend to spend time in...lol. The attached video tells the tale.

Good trapper

The media could not be loaded.  Finally got chance to set it up in my front yard this morning, placed the bait in the tray and hung it on the little tree, very simple and easy. Checked this afternoon, already got that much annoying flies, see in the picture. Now I didn’t see that much flies flying around when I get out of my house. Really works, will keep using it.

Works as advertised give it a couple days

If I can figure out how to share a video I will. Have had the fly trap set up for about 4 days using wet cat food as bait. I hung it about three to four feet off the ground, in shade and it is absolutely working as advertised. Because I live in a hot climate I do have to rehydrate the cat food every few days. It was a slow start the first or second day but by day 4 when the cat food got more stinky, production picked up. Way better than those stinky traps that have liquid in them. I can't smell the stinky cat food at aw, but they sure can.
