Great spray for bad shoes, but...
I have to say I am thoroughly impressed with how well this removed the odor from my shoes. I work 10-11 hours a day, constantly walking and moving. I also jog and workout 3-4 times a week. I try my best to practice good foot hygiene, but odor in work/athletic shoes is unavoidable. When I finally get home and pull of my shoes it makes me wish I had a separate shed for shoe storage. I worked in a shoe store and I've tried a number of remedies throughout the years, but honestly this is one of my favorites. I tested it on several pairs of shoes, of different ages and types - from work to jogging to casual. Even the toughest odors subsided or (to my nose at least) were completely eradicated at the source. It didn't just mask the odor, it attacked the bacteria which was the source as the label states. My two issues were the size and how much it reminded me of another product I love by Sof Sole, the Fresh Fogger. They are very similar in scent and power in my opinion and about the same quantity at or around 5 oz. If you want take a look: Sof Sole Deodorizing Fresh Fogger [...] The 10 second spray does however come up to be the cheaper of the two (not including shipping) at the time of this review.

This stuff WORKS
Are you tired of your shoes smelling bad? I was. I had tried several different shoe disinfectants in the past with varying luck until I used this one - which I will continue to buy. I am a Marine and as such my feet get pretty nasty. This product leaves both my gym shoes and boots fresher and leaves behind a neutral scent For best results, I removed the insoles and sprayed (till damp) the inside of each shoe and did the insoles separately. Let them dry, replace the insoles, and you are good to go. Two cans is enough for around 4-6 uses depending on whether you are doing boots or shoes but each treatment lasts several weeks for me. You will also notice your feet start to smell better as a result of being inside cleaner footwear.

Product is toxic, take care
I just sprayed three pairs of shoes I bought at the thrift store with this product to prevent picking up athletes foot, it smelled good, dried quickly and seemed to be safe for leather (I patch tested it on an inconspicuous area and it seems fine). I'm really not happy that I missed the safety hazard warning on the other side of the can entirely - the product was all over my hands, I just spent the last ten to fifteen minutes scrubbing it off of my skin. I feel that it should have been in bold print, or printed in larger text to grab the readers attention. Just a heads up to those new to this product - The can says to wear shoes and socks, a long sleeved shirt and pants, protective eyewear, and waterproof gloves before using the product, and then to launder those clothes after use.

It works to get rid of the odor, but I recommend another product for long days
So this product definitely works for eliminating the odor in your shoes. HOWEVER, it doesn't prevent your shoes from getting stinky again after a long day. For that I've actually had much better success with a powder product called Gran's Remedy. It works. But while just using the powder, your shoes might have a little bit of a smell by themselves after a time, so if you really just want to kill the smell of your shoes while at home or something, this spray will definitely do that. I think it is pretty nuclear though, so try not to be downwind of it.

Did not remove funk.
I had a pair of newish shoes that developed a funk for some reason. After several treatments the shoes still stunk so I threw them out. This spray smell like bowling alley shoe spray with some citrus cleaner added, its not particularly pleasant. The smell does fade overnight, so I have been using it to keep my other shoes smelling nice. However, I am not sure such aggressive chemicals are really needed for simple shoe maintenance. Finally the price on Amazon is higher than the MSRP on the side of the can.

*&$*#$! It works!
Seriously. Holy cow, it works! I've tried so many things to get the smell out of my work boots, but none of them ever really worked. Took two rounds the first time, but the smell was completely gone afterwards. Now I use it once a week and never have an issue. Highly recommend! I work in a powerplant on concrete and steel, in steel toes, and around/in water and chemicals.

Smelly Shoes, Instead of Smelly Feet
This product does deodorize...for a while. I purchased them for some leather work boots (Dr. Martens). I have never had an issue before with smelly shoes: I take very good care of my shoes, and use cedar moisture drawing inserts as well as regularly perform leather treatments. The majority of the deodorizers that are sold in stores seem to be only for feet care, not for the shoe itself. Since my feet were not the issue, I was very happy to find this brand on Amazon. It is not a simple spray and be done. Because of the nature of the product, it is slightly dangerous and should not be used inside. I spray mine with gloves on and let them air outdoors for a while (just to be safe for pets and children). The smell is removed and it is not an overbearing scent that remains (more clinical than Febreeze-like products). It seems to take care of the smell for about a week, and then it returns. So, along with my other shoe care I will keep this as part of my routine. Part of the problem may be that this type of product is better for athletic/fabric shoes, and not work/leather boots.
