Easy to apply, no offensive smell, really does cover the grey
I found my first grey hair when I was 17 years old. Used to pull them out and eventually realized that was not a good strategy, LOL. I have been using different hair color products for a very long time. Garnier Olia is a good, subdued, natural looking product with no strong smelling chemicals. I get two uses out of one box, mixing the coloring agent and the neutralizer 50/50, without any issues. I store the remaining coloring agent (in the tube) in the refrigerator until the next use. The product is not watery like some hair color products, which helps greatly in managing its application. .The color truly does last. I buy more Olia hair color ONLY because my hair has grown out. I leave it on 45 minutes, which is a bit longer than directed, just to make sure it takes. Then rinse the chemicals out, saving shampooing my hair until the next day. My preferred color, 6.3 is currently unavailable. I hope this is a temporary hiatus as I'm very happy with it. It's the same color as when I was a little girl, so looks unobtrusive and natural. The only thing I would change are the included gloves. I wish Garnier would include the same large size, but more fitted, similar to medical gloves. Then I could actually feel what I'm doing. Aside from the problematic gloves, I highly recommend Olia hair coloring products.

Gentle Hair Color with Beautiful Results
I’ve had a great experience with Garnier Olia. The color comes out rich, vibrant, and leaves my hair looking shiny and feeling soft. I also like that it’s ammonia-free, so the smell is much more pleasant during application. The kit is easy to use, and the color lasts well. I would definitely recommend it and buy it again.

Dark Rose Quartz + Bleached Level 8/9/10 Hair = Gorgeous Smoky Mauve
UPDATED PHOTO . . . LASTS FOR AS LONG AS YOU MAINTAIN IT. This product will still be my go-to for at least the next year or so, but it does wash out if you don't maintain it properly. After the first 3 cold water washes with a minimal amount of Four Reasons Rose Pink shampooo, it was still pretty vibrant and mostly dark rose. Then I got lazy and washed it in warm water. The rose immediately disappeared, but it turned a really pretty peach color. I used too much Four Reasons Rose Pink to try and get some of the pink back, but it only worked on the brightest parts of my hair (the front money pieces / level 10). It kept the rest of the hair a pretty rose gold, but not anywhere near the original outcome. The last photo is 3 weeks in and after a regular wash without the Four Reasons shampoo. It's pretty much strawberry blonde now. I actually like the different changes it goes through so I'm not changing my overall rating. Just be prepared to either maintain this with super cold water, or be okay with having your hair turn different (but very pretty!) colors before your next dye session. P.S. I washed my hair every other day or every third day. Going forward, I'll probably only wash it once a week and use dry shampoo as needed. ORIG REVIEW: About four months ago, I'd lightened my hair to level 7/8/9 then up to 8/9/10 so I could play around with semi permanent colors. When my level 5 roots started to grow out, I knew I didn't want to keep bleaching, so I looked for something that might work well to blend my roots and cover my grays while also being bright and fun. I chose Dark Rose Quartz, and I think it turned out really pretty. But you definitely need to lighten if you want it to be dark pink and not dark peach. The parts of my hair that were still a level 8 blonde turned out sort of a peach mauve. For upkeep, I plan to use Four Reasons Rose Pink shampoo to keep the shade from fading, and I know from experience to only wash with cold water. If it fades too quickly, I'll update the review, otherwise, consider it a success on PREVIOUSLY BLEACHED, very porous hair. Virgin hair probably won't look anything like this. If you're a level 10 gray or blonde, expect this to turn bright pink.

Gentle, Shiny Color - Not Perfect near the Temples
I tried Garnier Hair Color at home and was mostly satisfied with the results. It’s easy to use - just mix, shake, and apply. Gloves and conditioner is included. I liked that it’s ammonia-free, and my hair felt soft, not dry, after rinsing. I used it to cover greys and it worked well, although it didn't provide good coverage near my temples. The color looked rich and shiny. Overall it’s a gentle option worth considering.

Hair felt healthy after use
Hair felt very nice, not dry after 1st time used. Good product. Only improvement is to tint the color dye so when mixing with activator, can see how well it was blended before applying. White on-white hard to see.. hair color dyed black and in other areas, brown.

Beautiful Light Brown Results with No Red Tones
I switched to Garnier Olia after being a loyal Revlon ColorSilk user for years, and I’m so glad I did. I had always used Revlon’s Light Brown because it was ammonia-free and gave me reliable results. Recently, however, I started noticing an unwanted reddish tone developing, even though I hadn’t changed anything in my routine. Since I had been coloring my hair the same way for years, I can only assume the formula may have changed. I specifically wanted another ammonia-free option, so after reading the strong reviews for Garnier Olia, I decided to try the Light Brown shade. For reference, my natural hair is dark brown with some gray, and it had been about 3 months since my last color. Because of the regrowth, I chose to follow the touch-up directions instead of applying it to my full head right away. I left the color on my roots for 20 minutes, then pulled it through the ends for about 7 additional minutes. The instructions suggest 10 minutes on the ends, but I shortened it slightly because I was concerned my previously colored ends might absorb too much pigment. The formula itself was excellent—rich, creamy, and very easy to apply without dripping. It starts out white and gradually changes as it processes. The results were exactly what I hoped for: a beautiful soft light-to-medium brown with subtle dimension and highlighted tones, and most importantly, no red cast at all. It covered my grays nicely, blended beautifully with my natural color, and left my hair looking soft and healthy. While it does cost a bit more than Revlon, the improved tone and overall result make it absolutely worth it for me. I’ll definitely continue using Garnier Olia.

A strong contender in the ammonia-free hair dye market.
Garnier Hair Color Olia is a popular choice for those looking for an ammonia-free hair dye with a focus on nourishing and vibrant results. Here’s a comprehensive review based on its key features and performance: Pros: Ammonia-Free Formula: One of the standout features is that Olia is free from ammonia. This can make the application process more pleasant and less harsh on the hair and scalp. It also helps to reduce the strong chemical smell often associated with hair dyes. Oil-Rich Formula: The dye is infused with natural oils (like flower oils), which help to nourish and condition the hair during the coloring process. This can leave hair feeling softer and looking shinier compared to some other dyes that can be drying. Rich, Long-Lasting Color: Many users report that the color results are vibrant and long-lasting. The dye is designed to penetrate deeply into the hair fiber, which helps the color to stay true and not fade quickly. Pleasant Scent: Compared to traditional hair dyes, the scent of Olia is generally considered to be more pleasant, likely due to the absence of ammonia. Wide Range of Shades: Garnier Olia offers a broad spectrum of shades, from natural to vibrant colors, making it easy to find a hue that suits your preferences. Good Coverage: It provides excellent coverage for gray hair, which is a significant benefit for those looking to cover up grays. Cons: Application: Some users find the application process a bit tricky. The oil-rich formula can be thicker and might not spread as easily as other dyes. This can sometimes make it harder to ensure even application. Development Time: The processing time might be longer compared to some other dyes, which could be a consideration if you’re looking for a quick coloring solution. Color Variability: As with any hair dye, results can vary depending on your starting hair color and type. It’s a good idea to do a strand test before applying the dye to your entire head to ensure you get the desired shade. Price: Garnier Olia can be a bit pricier compared to some drugstore hair dyes. However, the benefits of an ammonia-free formula and nourishing oils might justify the cost for many users. Overall: Garnier Hair Color Olia is a strong contender in the ammonia-free hair dye market. It offers vibrant, long-lasting color while being gentler on the hair thanks to its oil-rich formula. It’s a great choice for those looking to avoid ammonia and who appreciate added conditioning benefits. While the application might require a bit more effort and the price is slightly higher, the results often justify these considerations.

Does not cover all!
First off I kind of like how the color turned out in my hair. However, I don't think the Box says but it's supposed to do and cover gray hair because in the front hairline I still have gray that shows that didn't get colored. Plus right now I have like three different colors on my hair so but it should have covered the front with the gray and it didn't and I left it on for 45 minutes which was a little longer than the 30 minutes and it still didn't even color it so I don't know if I just have obscenely stubborn gray hair that just wants to show off or what. So maybe the next time when I'm coloring my roots it might work better but for this first initial trial run it didn't do so great. Edited: So I tried it again, and I added two new pictures to show after a week that it even after a week it still never colored the front of my hair and I left it in for 45 minutes to an hour instead of just the 30 minutes. And as you can see from the one photo of my forehead basically LOL that I basically still have the light brown like kind of Gray color that still coming through like probably about an inch that didn't stay colored through my hair. I just don't think my hair likes this hair dye for some reason which is kind of sad because it's nice on my hair it doesn't dry it out as bad I think or doesn't dry it out but I feel like I'm constantly wanting to do touch up and use it all the time just to cover the front and make it match the rest of my hair. The top part of my hair is more pink and you can really see that when you get to the longer sections it starts looking more like a reddish- pink color. And in different lighting it looks different colors so you can't really see the pink.

Don't buy. Did NOT change COLOUR at all, rinsed clear after 40 minutes. Unable to return. Waste of my hard earned money.

Very good product but pricey!
Can but in Walmart USA for $10.00. Can’t buy in Canada! Lovely colour, excellent product but very very expensive to buy here! So if you want this product, and you are in Canada you are stuck paying this ridiculous price! I would say gouging! It should be more reasonable priced!

It’s by far the best hair color I’ve ever used.
Covers all my grey. It’s gentle and doesn’t have much smell. Pricing is fair. Leaves my hair shiny and very natural looking. I use the light brown and it gives me light brown with lovely natural looking golden blonde streaks when I go out in the sunshine. It’s the only hair dye I will use.

Good overall colour
I found this dye easy to use with good instructions. I was concerned that there would not be enough dye to cover my shoulder length thick hair, but it did. I chose it as it was one recommended for grey coverage. I don't have a lot of grey, but it is stubborn! I did put a lot around my temples and hair line (twice), however I can still see a bit of grey. Considering what a mess my hair was before this, I am pleased with the colour (I went darker to cover all the colours I had going on).
